From the President.... I want to thank all of you for paying closer attention to the frequency board and placingyour current AMA card on the board prior to flying. Everyone’s attitude about it has been fantastic and yourcooperation is greatly appreciated..

We don’t have instructions posted at the field for the benefit of visitors and non-members and our Safety Offi-cer, Don Morse wrote the following instructions. We will print them out to pass out to visitors and non-mem-bers. The instructions are not finalized and will be discussed at the next meeting. Give us your comments. BJ

Lance Morrison has been refining his latest creation which I will call the “Two-Piper” since it has two engines, one front and back. Very impressive sounding and taxies really fast. No flight yet, to my knowledge. Mean-while, Paul Ciotti and Steve Panter help Les Harris load his favorite T-28 in the back of the hearse. Say Good-Bye to “Big Bear”.

Bob Heitkamp has been flying his beautiful FW-190 a lot. Yes it is a scale paint scheme. The Prez..and hisRobin-hood 80 from World Models built about 25 years ago. Dug it out of the corner of the garage and put anew XYZ 20cc gas engine on it. Engine and plane are doing great.

At the field.... Lots of interesting stuff going on....

The Super Hero is flying better and better and finally there is an Icon that will fly thanks to Steve Panter.Smoke was rising as Hal Lockett finished a great flight with his turbine powered Jet Cat.

At the last meeting, we had a great show and tell by Don Morse with his beautiful ME-262. Unfortunately helost it on its first flight. Returning member Alex Dreiling and his huge (40%) Yak. (Photo compliments of newmember Bob Darnell). Back at the “Skunk-works” the Valkyrie is nearing completion. See it Roll-out soon.

At the Sagebrush Flyers meeting, Bob Walton showed his classic Top Flite Contender Kit. and Kent McLainshowed his VQ Yak ARF with a YS 70. Both Models looked fantastic. Lastly, Bob Heitkamp showed his $10.00mini-camera he bought off Ebay.

Field Trips....

Gary Fuller and Tom Reinbolt outline our Roll-out Party agenda at the Reno Club monthly meeting. Above....Harold Siegfried and Gary listen intently to Tom’s mesmerizing presentation of the Roll-out Party activities forthe benefit of the Sagebrush Flyers in Gadnerville at their last meeting.

After a great lunch at the Taildragger Cafe, Gary, Bob Heitkamp and I went over to Mike Hickey’s shop to seehis terrific 1/3 Scale Piper Cub. Built from a Balsa USA Kit it finished with Behr latex paint. Now Mike isbuilding another Balsa USA Kit, a 1/3 scale Fokker D-7. Mike is truly a master builder and these models areproof of his skill. -BJ
