• Examine the data and prepare a report of key findings– Findings to look for: significant differences, the

unexpected, the predictable, the concerning….?• Prepare to feedback to the larger group

Health Improvement Award

• Enables schools, colleges and other settings to assess their capability to:– provide a healthy environment (Foundation Level)– to identify areas of need in relation to health and

wellbeing (SCYPS)– to develop appropriate mechanisms for

addressing those needs (Enhanced Level)

• In groups, evaluate your own setting and discuss how it does or does not achieve the items in this section of the audit– Award ‘green’, ‘amber’ or ‘red’– For any items that are amber or red, consider

• Secondary age– High self-esteem: boys 46% v girls 23%– Worry quite a lot: 76%– Main concern:• Girls: the way they look – 56%• Boys: exams and tests – 34%

– 21% boy/girlfriend angry or jealous– 14% checking their phone– 15% Year 10 girls experience pressure to have

sex/do sexual things
