magazine, Nextnews. The aim of Nextnews is to provide yet another

vehicle for communication that has already been established through

our numerous successful joint projects, the visions which we share

Nextsense part of the international HR Con-ference In September 2009, The Macedonian HR Associa-

tion held the first international HR Conference

focusing on how HR contributes to the success of

companies. Its main focus was on the future

oriented values, the workforce planning, the carrier

development and orientation, benefits and com-

pensation, recruiting, followed by famous compa-

nies’ success stories. There were several well

known experts in the HR Field, from Macedonia

and abroad who were keynote speakers to the

Conference, sharing their experiences and

best practices.

Nextsense also took part on this Confer-

ence both as participant and as contribu-

tor. For the purposes of the Conference,

as well as for further development and

operations, Nextsense had designed and

launched the web site (www.mhra.mk)

of the Macedonian HR Association.

Doing Business, KosovoNextsense is very close to expanding its business

on the territory of Kosovo. In the fourth quarter of

2009 Nextsense will officially open new offices in

Kosovo.

That is why in July 2008 Nextsense became ISO 9001:2000 certified company, implementing the quality management system that refers to Information technology design, development, sales, education and support.

Because customer satisfaction is our focus we strive to improve the service management, by reaching an agreement for cooperation with IFC and the Bulgarian consulting company ITCE for implementation of the ISO/IEC 20000 standard and ITIL framework. ISO/IEC 20000 standard promotes the adoption of an integrated process approach for effectively deliver managed services to meet the business and customer requirements with use of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) best practice for IT Service Management. In cooperation with GTZ, Nextsense started the process of IT Mark certification. ITMark is aimed specifically at SMEs and provides the software companies with means to enhance their business and improve information security management. It will also improve software development processes, in order for them to gain recognition for their level of capability through the ITMark certification.

The on-street parking in the center of Skopje was launched in August 2009. The project represents a new way of parking management in the city centre- zoning and payment with a mobile telephone.

The technology for this project’s realization is provided by Nextsense together with NOW!Innovations, one of the world’s leading digital permit and mobile payment solution providers for the parking and transport sectors. The system is fully authorized and supported by the local parking operator JP Gradski Parking -Skopje.

Nextsense selected the system ParkNOW! as a platform for organizing the parking via mobile devices and electronic permits. Combining the knowledge of the mobile communications and the parking industry, the system enables flexible integration of technologies and easy processing of the most popular payment methods.

Experiences from other European countries were used for the realization of this project. The system was first introduced on the Belgian market by the city of Antwerp in 2004, but over time other European countries started to implement it. This system is also implemented for trial use in the USA and Great Britain. The platform is being continuously improved and its functions widened.

The system is one of the very few 2nd generation platforms for parking organization by means of mobile communication and administration of electronic permissions. It combines deep understanding both of the mobile communication and the parking industry, and allows flexible integration of the technologies and easy processing of the most popular payment methods.

The charge for the session will be calculated and appropriate response sent back to the user.

Within 2 seconds: The applica-tion ParkNOW! receives the SMS. The application checks the time stamp of the started parking session for the same MSISDN number, calculates the exact parking time, calculates the charge according the parking zone price list, checks the payment type for that user and if needed, forwards all data to the mobile operator with the information for charging, and the mobile operator charges the customer. The session will be stopped and appropriate response sent back to user.

The Macedonian delegation will be headed by Mr. Trajko Veljanoski, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia. We have saved up to 90% on paper, toner and time needed for printing legal documents.

In the past, we were printing 350 copies of one legal document per day, and now we print 35. Nevertheless, I believe that the greatest benefit of this solution is that over time, it will help build a database, ensuring better procedure for adoption of new laws. With this solution the Government of the Republic of Albania prepares and

holds the meetings, providing high level of efficiency, cost- efficiency, mobility,

transparency and responsibility in the process of preparation, implementation

and the daily coordination of the decisions resulting from the meetings of the

Government of Republic of Albania.

It integrates multiple government institutions and processes into a distributed

and orchestrated process that transformed preparation and execution of the

government’s meetings from paper to paperless process.

The new Government “Berisha 2” is not wasting any time. They commenced with the

session right after the solemn inauguration, which

formally confirms the legitimacy of the new govern-

ment. As soon as he exited the Presidential building,

where he and the ministers took oaths to the President,

in presence of the representatives of the institutions,

the Prime Minister Sali Berisha opened the first session

of the new Government, as it has been done since

2005...

Another element that became apparent on the

yesterday’s session was the portable computers, one

for each minister, including the Prime Minister, which

will replace the dossiers for the drafts of the laws.

Since the first session, the ministers shall not be

overburdened with draft amendments and laws in hard

copy, i.e. paper, but with lap-top computers connected

in a network located in the assembly room...

“Gradually, seeking interpretation of the Constitution,
