Page 1: NHI Success Story - SEC Data Feed

National Health Investors, Inc. quickly gathered and analyzed SEC data for improved efficiencies.

National Health Investors, Inc. is a real estate investment trust based in Murfreesboro, TN that specializes in health care real estate financing. NHI’s Financial Analyst, Cameron Bell and his manager, Vice President of Investments, Kevin Pascoe wanted a better way to gather and analyze SEC data.

Prior to using Crossfire’s SEC Data Feed, Pascoe and Bell used SEC.gov and had to manually update data every quarter for the executive team. They were unable to roll the data forward automatically, which meant they spent more time creating the reports than analyzing the results.

With Crossfire, the data was pulled into Excel worksheets using simple drag & drop icons and allowed NHI to easily embed live data automatically into their Excel models. The direct Crossfire connection to the SEC data also enabled the team to roll forward analysis from period to period in just seconds. It also provided the familiar customizing and functionality of Excel, which allowed the numbers to crunch themselves.

NHI demanded more from XBRL and Crossfire delivered. Rivet’s Crossfire enabled NHI to strategically turn the SEC XBRL mandate into better analytics and better data.

Fast SEC Data = Better Analytics

Crossfire gave us easier access to timely and accurate SEC data,

which allowed me to focus on more value-added activities.
