How Can NIA/ADEAR Help You?

n Send Us Your Papers! The NIA Communications Office is interested in sharing news about NIA-funded research. When you submit a paper to a journal (or latest, when it is accepted), please e-mail a copy to [email protected]. NIA staff will consider it for a possible news release, inclusion in our online newsletters, or other venue. Please call 301-496-1752 or e-mail Peggy Vaughn ([email protected]) or Barbara Cire ([email protected]) if you have questions.

n Let Us Know About Your Events. Remember to let ADEAR know about upcoming research or caregiver conferences. We can highlight these events in Connections, the ADEAR online calendar, and email alerts, as well as sending publications.

n Registering Clinical Trials/Studies. PIs now have responsibility for registering clinical trials in ClinicalTrials.gov and meeting legal requirements. ADEAR will continue the AD clinical trials database and can provide technical assistance for registering trials. For more information, see http://prsinfo.clinicaltrials.gov or contact Jill Chance, ADEAR Clinical Trials Librarian at 240-235-1992 or email [email protected].

n Collaborate on Materials. Some of ADEAR’s most popular materials originated at the ADCs. If you have developed a publication or video that might be useful for others, contact the ADEAR Center about the possibility of distributing or adapting your materials for a national audience.
