    It is my pleasure, as Managing Director of Total Netball, to welcome the NIASnetball touring group to New Zealand. Total Netball will ensure that your time herewill be memorable, with well hosted competitive games of netball and opportunitiesto experience the very best of New Zealands natural environment and culture.Welcome, Haere Mai, and enjoy your stay.

    INTRODUCTORY NOTES

    Weather: September is late winter / spring weather, which means it can be verychangeable. Temperatures can fluctuate but it is likely to still be cold. You will needto come prepared for a full winter blast which could see temperatures drop belowzero Celsius. Recent Christchurch temperatures have been in the mid to high teens,which is a bit unseasonal for this time of the year.

    Courts: Where possible the games will be held indoors. However, almost allamateur netball is held on outdoor courts of varying surfaces.

    Post Game Arrangements: We want to encourage post-match socialising and sorequest this from all hosting teams. It is customary to exchange mementos of thevisit and to share in some food and drink with both teams.

    Equipment: Please let Total Netball know if you require any equipment. We cangenerally supply balls, cones, drink bottles while you are on tour.

    Ice: Ice for sideline treatment of injuries is available from nearly all service stationsand supermarkets. It is recommended that teams bring an insulated container forstoring ice at games.

    First Aid:The emergency number in New Zealand is 111. There are after-hoursmedical services available in all main centres. ACC (Accident CompensationCommission) covers most of the cost if it is an accident - there will be a surcharge.

    Total Tours will assist with coordinating medical services if required. It is expectedthat tour groups will have their own travel insurance to cover medical expenses.Operators of tourist services have their own policies regarding health and safetyand issues arising should be managed directly with them.

    Laundry: Laundry facilities for self use are available at St Andrews College. Detailswill be provided by hostel staff on your arrival

    Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included daily throughout your itinerary.Breakfasts will all be at your accommodation and are continental (typically cereal,toast and spreads, tea/coffee). Lunches are packed and need to be collected afterbreakfast. Dinners at your accommodation are two course (main course and

    dessert).Please note meal times have been booked as shown on this itinerary. Should youwish to amend these times please do so well in advance, directly with theaccommodation staff.

    Security/valuables: This is your own responsibility. Valuables have been stolenbefore. Please never assume that it will be okay to leave valuables unattended orhotel rooms unlocked. Every attempt will be made to assist you with your ownsecurity.

    Liaison: Total Netball staff will be available 24 hours. Please use the cell phonenumbers on this page. Our staff will not always be with you during your activities

    Amendments to Itinerary: Should the group, or any members of the group, wish todeviate from the main itinerary, this will be subject to service fees based on theamount of work undertaken and any fare, taxes or any group/individual ratedifferences applicable.

    Travel Insurance: Travel insurance is not included in your tour cost, Total Toursstrongly encourage that all group members take out a travel insurance policy priorto departing from your point of origin.

    Emergency and Risk Management:Total Rugby have an Emergency ManagementPlan that you will have a copy of. Staff will take you through this and ask for a signoff

    1435 Welcome to New Zealand. On arrival at Christchurch International Airportyou will be required to clear customs and immigration formalities. You will bemet and welcomed by Total Netball staff who will assist with your coachtransfer to your accommodation.

    Check in to St Andrews College Boarding Hostel where accommodation isconfirmed for 7 nights. Accommodation is multi share dormitory style withshared bathrooms.

    1330 MATCH 1 B team Vs Ashburton College

    Ashburton College is one of the largest co-ed schools inCanterbury with a roll of 1230 students. They have strongsports teams across a range of codes with netball being oneof the most prominent girls sports in the school. You willplaying these games in the recently opened EA NetworksCentre, described as a state-of-the-art indoor sports facility.

    1430 MATCH 2 A team Vs Ashburton College

    There will be an aftermatch after this game back at Ashburton College. Bus isexpected to leave at about 4.30 and returning to Christchurch at approx.5.45

    MONDAY 26 SEPTEMBERCHRISTCHURCH

    0730This morning you will be joined by our celebrity netballers Anna Thompsonand Jess Moulds. Please pick up your packed lunch at breakfast

    Jess Mouldsjoined the Tactix in 2014, after three seasonswith the SKYCITY Mystics and has cemented her spot in thedefensive end with a high work rate. She has been the one of

    the team's most reliable performers, regularly winning turnoverball at the back end of the court and making life tough foropposition shooters. She has been the team's first-choiceoption at goal keep, starting in five of the eight games. Jess

    played for the Fastnet Ferns in the 2010 World Netball Serieswhere they won gold. She was also part of the 2009 NewZealand U21 team that won silver at the World YouthChampionships. Jess was selected as a member of the SilverFerns in 2015 and is currently a member of the NZ A team.

    Anna Thompson

    Anna is a former Silver Fern and played for them in 2009and most recently in the 2012 quad series bring her testmatches to 13. Anna has also represented New Zealand atfive World Netball Series tournaments for the FastNetFerns & Fast5, and when played in 2013 made her the onlyNZ player to have played in all previous 5 tournaments.She captained the Tactix over the last two seasons and has been in the

    squad since its foundation in 2008. She has recently resigned for the 2017season.

    WEDNESDAY 28 SEPTEMBERCHRISTCHURCH/HANMER SPRINGS/CHRISTCHURCH

    0900 Depart by coach this morning for Hanmer Springs. Travelling north fromChristchurch through the wineries region of Waipara, travel time approx. 1.5hours.

    Stop just south of Hanmer Springs for a New Zealand jet boat experience.The jet boat was invented here in New Zealand by William Hamilton in 1954and has opened up many otherwise inaccessible areas of New Zealand -unlike a conventional propeller the jet boat has an impeller above the waterline enabling it to travel through extremely shallow water (3 or 75mm).

    PLEASE NOTE 23 of the group are confirmed to jet boat at 10:30am,the rest of the group will continue on to Hanmer Springs to visit theThermal Pools. Coach driver will return to Thrillseekers to pick upthe group after their jet boating

The play in the top Christchurch Netball Competition.The matches will be followed by an aftermath function.Supporters and families are invited to attend

Afterretiring in 2006 she returned to netball by signing with the Tactix in2010. She also played for the Silver Ferns in 2002-03 representingNZ at the Manchester Commonwealth Games. She is an

    experienced coach and has worked with many age groups over theyears.
