Initiated in 2017, Future Storyworlds is a 2-dayworkshop that focuses on screenwriting for im-mersive media (video games, augmented reality,virtualreality,mixedreality).Itoffersindependentwriters, artists, interface designers and narrativedevelopersthepossibilityoftakingpartinauniquespaceofreflectionandexchangeonthepremisesoftheCERN,themythicalscientificlaboratorythepurpose of which is the research on fundamentalphysicsandthediscoveryofthefabricandlawsofourUniverse.

Scientificexpertsandmajorplayersfromthedigitalandnarrativeindustriescometogethertoanalyzethe selected treatments. Personalized coachingsessions and master classes allow participants tostrengthenthescientificandnarrativeelementsoftheirprojectsattheearlieststageofdevelopment.Decisiveworkonthequalityofconceptsandnar-rativearchitecturethattheNIFFFanditspartnerswishtopromotethroughoutSwitzerland.

CineGlobeexplorestheintersectionofscienceandcinemathrougharangeofmedia,fromtraditionalanalogphotographytovirtualreality.ItishostedinGeneva,SwitzerlandbyCERN,theEuropeanOrga-nizationofNuclearResearch.CineGlobe’sflagshipevent is the International Film Festival Inspiredby Science and Technology, taking place annuallyaroundCERN’siconicGlobeofScienceandInnova-tionsite.Thefestivalfeaturesavariedprogrammeof indoorandoutdoorfilmscreenings,virtualandmixedrealityexperiences,hands-onworkshopsforadults and children, creative film-making events,visiting artist lectures, cultural hackathons, andmasterclasses. The centrepiece is an open, juriedshort film competition for fiction, documentary,andyouthfilms,whichtypicallyreceivesover1000submissionsfrom100countriesworldwide.

In addition to its week-long festival, CineGlobeproduces several original and innovative projectsthroughout the year. From running "TetraPak cam-

era" workshops where people transform used milkcartons into traditionalpinholecameras, tohostingtheSwisseditionofthe48-HourFilmProject,Cine-Globeseekstoofferopportunitiesforyoungandoldaliketoexplorethewaysinwhichscienceandtech-nologyimpactcreativevisualexpression.CineGlobealsoseekstofosteranappreciationoftheheritageofcinema,andtothatendhascreatedamobile,travel-ingcinema—theCinemaCaravan.Villagesthrough-out Switzerland which are too small to have theirowncinemasthushavethechancetoexperiencesci-ence-inspiredfilmprogrammesandworkshops.

CineGlobe’s ethos is centred around inspiration,collaboration,andcreation, invitingscientists,art-ists, and laypeople to discover the ways in whichboth science and art are essential to our cultureandtounderstandingourworld.

Since its inception 20 years ago, the NeuchâtelInternational Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) hasgrown to become a prestigious international hubforfantasticfilmsanddigitalcreation.Thefestivalholds various sections, from its competitions anddaringretrospectives to itsworkshopsdevoted tovirtualworldsandinnovativestorytelling.Ontopofpromotingthebestofworldwidecinema,thefesti-valhasalsobeenactivewithcallsforprojects,co-producingwebseriesandvideogames.

Itsdiverse,innovativeandprestigiousprogramhasensuredtoNIFFFanationalandinternationalpres-ence.Thisevent ismainlydedicatedtoonegenre— that is fantasy, or fantastic films. Asian cinemaand digital creation are the two additional topicsthat complete the picture. Equally acclaimed by

audiences,criticsandfederalinstitutions,theNIFFFhasbeengrowingcontinuously,showingsteadyin-creasesinticketsalesandhasevenreachedmorethan48,000attendees,250guestsand650pro-fessionalsduringitslastedition.

Our film programming is extended through threespecial labels: NIFFF EXTENDED, "the future ofcinema", NIFFF INVASION, "pluridisciplinary fan-tasyworksforeveryone",andNIFFFONTOUR,anoff-festival programme. The former was designedasawayforindustryprofessionalstoperfecttheirskills,whilethelatterservesasaplatformforpro-moting the fantasygenre in themainstream.Botheventsarefree.AsforNIFFFONTOUR,itisapro-grammethatsupportsthenewgenerationofartists.

Frida Futura is a future scientist and innovationconsultant.Sheisanexpertinagileworkingmeth-odsandanexperiencedcoachinDesignThinking.FridaFuturahelpsteamsandorganisationsdefinedesirable futuresandwork towards themwithex-pertise,passionandbravery.Shecreatesroomforcollaborationandcreativityaswellashighlyeffec-tiveworkamonggroups.Friederikehasexperienceinvarioussectorslikemobility,manufacturingandthe public sector. Margarete Jahrmann is a distinguished game artdesigner.She is since2019Univ.-Prof.ArtisticRe-searchUniversityofAppliedArtsViennaandsince2006professorinGameDesignattheZurichUni-versityoftheArts.ShefoundedthePervasiveandUrban Game design and research association Lu-dic Society. In her collaborative arts-projects sheworkedwithneuroscientists,philosophersandear-lyadoptersoftechnologies,fromAugmentedReal-itytoAIandsciencetheory.Sheexhibitedherworkworldwide,isanexperiencedlecturerandresearch-er.In2013sheco-editedtheaugmentedbook"Play&Prosume.TechnologyExchangeandFlow"withafocusonARandpropaganda,2016 thevoidplay-book VOID book premiered at the founding placeof Dada, Cabaret Voltaire Zurich. Currently she isworkingonaseriesofartisticresearchexperimentsinrelationtoneurointerfacesandplay,fosteringanewformofLudicNeuromaticart.

DomenicoLaPortaistheeditorofCineuropa,theonlinemediafocusingonEuropeanaudiovisualin-dustryandavailablein4languagessince2002.Heisexperiencedasa journalist, scriptdoctorandatransmedia author/producer and he has been in-volved with 40+ narrative projects for the last 15yearsincludingacademyawardsnominees.In2014,he became the head of the Wallimage Creativefund inBelgium. In2016,hewasappointeddirec-toroftheR/O institute,aproject-based incubatorfor Narrative Intellectual Properties (NIP). Asidefrom those complementary activities, Domenicofrequentlyworksasan internationalconsultant instorytelling, audience mapping, creative fundingandmultistreamsrevenuemodels.

Born in 1976,JehanneRousseauhasbeen impas-sioned very early about imaginary universes andvideo games. At 22, she entered this industry asa graphic designer and quickly became a projectmanager,keepingondevelopinggamesonGame-boy,homeconsoles,PCsandevenphones,beforecreating, with some colleagues, the video gamesdevelopingcompany"Spiders",in2008,whichshebecomesdirectorandprincipal scriptwriter. Fasci-natedbyboththe"redplanet"andsciencefiction,shecreatestheuniverseofMars,andtwoscenariosof video games in this world: Mars War Logs (re-leased in 2013), and The Technomancer (releasedin2016).ShealsoimaginedtheuniverseofFaery:Legends of Avalon based on the illustrations ofJean-BaptisteMonge,andtheuniverseofGreedfallagamethatwillbereleasedin2019.
