DO WE REALIZE THAT OUR (YOUR AND MY) MILLION$$$ OF DOLLARS ARE GOING INTO CROOKS’ POCKETS EVERY SINGLE DAY….. WHILE OUR CONGRESSMEN ARE TRYING TO MAKE OUR MILITARY PERSONNEL ‘PAY THE PRICE’ THROUGH ‘CUTS’ FOR GOVERNMENT FAILAURE TO ADDRESS THIS DRAIN ON OUR NATIONAL BUDGET? WHY are these so-called “conservatives (bigots)’ calling for “securing” ONLY the border with Mexico and not the Canadian border, where it has been reported that there actually are terrorist training camps, just inside THAT border? Ask Rafael (Ted) Cruz and Marco Rubio who are the most out-spoken about “securing” the Mexico border why they are not calling for “securing” the Florida coastline, where thousands of Cubans who come on-shore, including thousands of dangerous criminals intentionally freed by Fidel Castro to infiltrate our country, are never deported, including Cruz’s and Rubio’s parents. They are just as ‘illegal’ as any other immigrant from any other country. Excerpt from below: "We want to make the community aware of the 400,000 people who are in jail, the thousands upon thousands of ICE raids of homes and even schools, the militarization of border communities, and many other abuses committed under Obama's presidency," Lovato said. That is MORE THAN ONE MILLION DOLLARS PER DAY going to the likes of dick Cheney and other corrupt and greedy owners of the “for profit” concentration camps across the U.S., to detain immigrants who reportedly have committed no violent crime. How much of that money is going into the pockets of also-crooked politicians who “look the other way” while Barack Obama continues to impress and convince the racist ‘wrong-wingers’ that he is getting rid of ‘illegal immigrants’. WHERE is the outcry of all the “human and civil rights groups’ and the religious leaders, pressuring our congressmen and President Obama? Where are all the ‘influential society’ members? Bear in mind that many of those “prisoners” are actually U.S. Born/U.S. Citizens children, or their parents. Latino groups nationwide have launched the Obama Legacy Project to force the President to improve his immigration track record The groups involved in the project believe Obama can save his legacy by ending dportations, meeting with families of deportation victims, and abolishing the Secure Communities program By Albor Ruiz | [email protected] New York Daily News (March 30, 2014) Denise Romero, 22, and her brother, Juan Carlos, 20, who could be deported come June. The Russian takeover of Crimea could be the worst crisis President Obama will face in the coming months - but it won't be the only one. Dozens of Latino groups are intent on doing whatever it takes not to allow the President to use this crisis - or any other for that matter - as a pretext to once again relegate to the back burner their community's pressing concerns about immigration. Last Wednesday, as reported in the Daily News, those groups launched a new campaign in six cities - New York included - holding Obama accountable for record high deportations and emphasizing "other immigrant abuses" during his presidency. "Obama's legacy on immigration is at a tipping point," said Roberto Lovato, co-founder of Presente.org, the largest Latino online advocacy organization in the U.S. and the driving force behind the new campaign. "Either he starts to take action ending deportations now, or he will be forever remembered by Latinos not only as the deporter-in-chief but as the worst President in history on immigration," Lovato added. Without a doubt, the 2 million overwhelmingly non-criminal immigrants

deported under Obama's watch would be enough reason for Latinos to mistrust his much-trumpeted compassion for immigrant families and his avowed commitment to immigration reform . But as Lovato points out, the Obama Legacy Project, as the campaign is called, is about much more than deportations. Launched in New York, Boston, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles and San Diego, project participants include Presente.org; the Center for Constitutional Rights; the National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities; the Detention Watch Network and Raza Youth Collective, among other groups. The project also includes a public petition calling on Obama to end deportations and a website (obamalegacy.com) to educate the public on other overlooked aspects of his dismal track record on immigration. Visitors to the website will learn that 97% of all the deportees are from Latin American and Caribbean communities, and that 28 people have been killed by the Border Patrol since 2010 - the vast majority of them Latinos. They'll also learn that because immigration "crimes" are now federal crimes, tens of thousands of people are currently in federal prisons for minor violations and, as a result, Latinos now represent the largest group in federal prisons. Denise Romero's 20 year-old brother, Juan Carlos, is one of the many Latinos who, after a conviction for a minor violation, are routinely referred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and find themselves in deportation proceedings. The siblings have lived with their parents in Elmhurst, Queens since leaving Mexico in 2001. Both attend CUNY. "Two years ago because of stop-and-frisk my brother was arrested and charged with trespassing. He spent less than a month in Rikers but instead of just releasing him they referred him to Immigration. His final hearing will be in June and we are not optimistic," said Denise, 22. "That's why Obama's legacy is under attack: he keeps deporting low-priority people despite his promises." The groups involved in the project believe Obama can "save his legacy" by ending deportations, meeting with members of families separated by his policies, and abolishing the Secure Communities program they say has created an epidemic of racial profiling. "We want to make the community aware of the 400,000 people who are in jail, the thousands upon thousands of ICE raids of homes and even schools, the militarization of border communities, and many other abuses committed under Obama's presidency," Lovato said. "At this point Democrats have a major Latino problem," Lovato said. "If I were them I would be extremely worried about the next presidential election."
