In a group of three or four, simulate a cafe scene. Ask the teacher if you can use actual foodand drinks. Make or bring menus and items that will help to make your cafe realistic. Paperor plastic tableware, an apron or towel, a pad of paper, and a tray for each waiter or waitress,and a big sign with the name of the establishment will set the stage. Paper flowers andtablecloths, wall decorations, music on a tape recorder, etc. would enhance the surroundings.Musically talented students might sing or play an instrument for live entertainment.
Materials: a poster board, colored pens, paper pad(s) for the waiter(s), apron(s) or towel(s)for the waiter(s), tray(s), several copies of the menu, paper cups and plates, plastic utensils,paper tablecloth(s)
Preparation:
• Form a group of three or four. Decide on a name for your cafe.• Make a sign for your cafe with its name.• Decide what you will serve in your cafe.
© Find out if you can bring real beverages and snacks.0 Create a menu for your cafe. Since French cafes always post a menu that is visible from
the outside, prepare a menu to post.
