The Nissan NAVARA comes equipped with intelligent technologies including the Nissan Variable Induction Control System (NICS) and the Continuous Valve Timing Control System (CV TCS). NICS increases torque at low and mid engine speeds improving idling stability resulting in lower fuel consumption, while CV TCS gives you optimum ignition performance.

The V9X model is the first 1-ton bakkie to boast a V6 turbo diesel powerhouse, producing 170kW of power and 550Nm of pure performance. And it comes as no surprise that no other bakkie would dare to take it on. Designed with a 65-degree V-inclined chain driven cylinder layout allows the turbo charger to be neatly mounted within the V. The V9X model also uses an innovative Compacted Graphite Iron engine block that offers the benefits of cast iron while remaining remarkably light and rigid for optimum refinement.

With its impressive outputs and a high range of innovations such as the direct injection system, the V6 turbo diesel guarantees high performance, good fuel economy, competitive emissions and class leading refinement. The 2.5l turbo diesel encapsulates Nissan’s latest generation common-rail technology and has no problem when it comes to grunt work. Available in two high performance versions:– the LE spec with 140kW of power and 450Nm of torque on the 4x4 models, and 120kW of power and 403Nm of torque on the 4x2 models and the XE spec with 128kW of power and 403Nm of torque in the 4x4 models, or 106kW of power and 356Nm of torque in the 4x2 models.

The Nissan NAVARA range offers a choice between a standard 6-speed manual transmission, featuring a ‘long’ overdrive top gear for enhanced economy and reduced noise levels or the very smooth, 5-speed automatic transmission available on LE 2.5ℓ Diesel models or the 7-speed sequential automatic transmission available on the V9X models.

NOT JUST AAll Nissan NAVARA 4x4’s are capable of towing a massive 3000kg (braked trailer). What’s more, the Nissan NAVARA offers an exhilarating ride whether you’re on an off-road adventure or a road trip. On the 4x4 models, the dashboard rotary switch makes it easy to select from three driving modes namely: the 2WD High - for normal dry conditions where power is distributed to the rear wheels only, or 4WD High – for tackling more demanding conditions - the transfer case is locked to split the drive equally to the front and rear wheels and 4WD Low for serious off-road conditions only where a low ratio is selected for maximum traction in deep mud or sand. The adjustable 4WD system also comes in handy for steep climbing or when you need maximum engine braking while descending. When it comes to technology, the Nissan NAVARA leads the pack with a first-in-class Active Brake Limited Slip (ABLS) off-road 4x4 innovation system. ABLS is designed to assist you in slippery conditions by moderating the engine power and gently applying braking pressure to the wheel that has lost traction, resulting in the redistribution of power to the other wheels allowing you to get moving again.

A strong high tensile steel ladder chassis with welded cross members offers less vibration and reassuring solidity, while its highly effective suspension system gives the Nissan NAVARA impressive agility and means it will respond quickly and accurately to your commands. Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) comes standard on all LE models. On or off-road you’ll find the Nissan NAVARA to be as tough as nails.

From its confident, intimidating stance and raised hood profile to its large geometric flared wheel arches, sporty roof rack and unmistakable honeycomb grille, the Nissan NAVARA’s styling packs more punch than any Double or KingKab on the block. The Nissan NAVARA’s design is also genuinely purposeful with its generous proportions providing greater ground clearance and axle articulation for rough terrains. All elements are aerodynamically integrated to efficiently direct airflow over and around the body, resulting in reduced drag and improved fuel efficiency. On the XE models the rear loadbin is long, deep and wide to provide a large and versatile load carrying space. The LE models add convenience with features like the ingenious Utili-track system that makes loading simple, quick and safe. It has sturdy fixed channels that run the length and width of the loadbin, combined with heavy-duty cleats that you can move along these channels to wherever you need a tie-down point. Lock them into place and you’re able to carry just about any kind of load without it moving or tipping over.

The Nissan NAVARA offers a level of comfort and functionality more expected from an SUV rather than a bakkie. All models come standard with

high quality audio systems, air-conditioning and plenty of clever storage compartments all around the cabin. The Double Cab offers rear seating

for 3, plus extra storage underneath the rear seats of the luxurious LE model and the KingKab has plenty of space behind the front seats for

storage boxes, tools or laptops. The LE models include luxury features such as cruise control, power mirrors and remote central locking.

Premium luxury features in LE models include Bluetooth, Climate Control and AM/FM/CD audio system with iPod, iPhone & iPad USB compatibility

and Aux jack with Bluetooth audio streaming. The V9X LE model features Nissan’s Premium Connect entertainment and SATNAV system. The

40GB hard drive-based system has a high-resolution touch screen with a 3D birds eye view display and easy to update map coverage. The

9.3GB Music Box is able to store up to 300 CDs. The single CD player reads DVDs, displayed on the central screen when the handbrake is

applied. Couple this with a 7-speaker BOSE premium sound system and the Nissan NAVARA is sure to entertain.

VEHICLE DYNAMIC CONTROL (VDC)

VDC automatically controls the brake and engine output to enhance stability when

sensors detect that the vehicle may slip sideways, due to steering, braking or

accelerator pedal operation.

IF YOU’RE FACED WITH AN UNEXPECTED SITUATION, YOU WANT TO BE

PREPARED. THAT’S THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE NISSAN NAVARA’S

EXTENSIVE RANGE OF SAFETY FEATURES.

Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) are

standard on every model. All LE models feature Nissan’s Brake Assist (BA), which

senses when you’re making an emergency stop and automatically increases the

braking effort to reduce your stopping distance. The Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC)

system comes standard on the LE 4x4 models – it uses sensors that automatically

control brake pressure on individual wheels and adjust engine output accordingly to

enhance stability and keep you in control. It also has an Active Brake Limited Slip

(ABLS) off-road 4x4 system which increases braking intervals that lock the wheels

in a controlled manner which substantially reduces stopping distances for added

safety and control when travelling off-road.
