The gryphon

is the school’s official mascot. As the lion is

traditionally considered the king of the beasts

and the eagle the king of the birds,

the gryphon, half eagle- half lion is the king of all creatures.

Powerful, majestic and courageous, the gryphon traditionally

guards treasures. It symbolizes strength,

courage, intelligence, and leadership.
