Om! Shanti:Shanti: Shantihi Om. That (Brahman) is infinite and this (Universe) is infinite. The infinite

Looking back overthe years, there have been many highlightsbut the main theme of the organizationwas Swamijis love for the underprivilegedchildren. He has brought colours of aRainbow into their agonizing lives byimplementing Free Education, Medical-Aidand Vocational Training Programmes, topped with a dressing of His pure andunconditional motherly love.
Swamiji has taken Nachiketa Tapovan togreater heights through His Vision, turningit into reality. We have been able to run an

WISDOM SPEAKS
By Annapurna R.
Swadharma One of my favourite spiritual stories
is the Story of Dharma Vyadha, therighteous butcher. Kausika, a youngbrahmin ascetic who was doing Sadhanaand prided himself on his psychic powerswas guided by a housewife and enlightened by a butcher. By performingtheir Swadharma according to their Swabhava combined with faith, they were able to practice Karma yoga and become Jivanmuktas (liberated beings).Vyadha Gita also teaches that no work is inferior. By doing the work allotted toeach individual efficiently withdetachment, one can advancespiritually.
The story assures me that the path Iam treading to fulfill my familial responsibilities could also lead me to my spiritual goals! There is no need to giveup my family ties. I dont have topostpone spiritual seeking till retirement. I can be doing my Sadhanaat this moment. Whenever I am tired,
frustrated or lose direction I drawinspiration from Dharma Vyadhas story which gently rebukes me not to think of anything beyond the work I am
doing, and motivates me to do my work as worship and to devote my wholelife to it for the time being. As simple asit sounds, needs immense will power topractice, but I know I can do it, slowly and steadily.
A Mothers Heart I remember this story that I heard
in my childhood. It goes like this: Ayoung man who is mesmerized beyond reason by his young wife tothe extent that he happily agrees to
turn in his mothers heart to her. Sohe carries his mothers bleeding heart in his pocket and starts walking tohis wife. While striding he trips and
falls and the mothers heart cries,Does it hurt, my baby? Thats anexample of a biological mothersunfailing and unconditional love forher son. If that brings tears to oneseyes what can be said about Sharada Ma, who was the SpiritualMother to all beings including birdsand animals. No doubt, a motherslove for her offspring is unflinching, but Mother Sharadas love for all herdevotees was infinite. Mothershowered abounding affection onrich and poor, criminal and saint allalike irrespective of their spiritual and moral status. She served everyonewith inexhaustible patience whenshe herself was going throughtroubles. Even an uncultured, dangerous, way-ward robber wastamed and melted in the warmth of her pure love. Since everyone could see the Divine Mother in her she cameto be known as The Holy Mother.
Manliness precedes godliness. He who evinces manliness isbound to grow in godliness.

Messageby Swamiji
Swami Nachiketananda
Are you a true Shishya? Shishyashave waited years together to
receive knowledge from the Guru.Do you have that much of patiencein you? Dont confine yourself tosmall boundaries.
When you contact a Spiritual personyou might want to explore yourselfwith the help of that person. Butinstead of exploring, you will exploithim. You will demand many things.
In pure love, there is no demand orcommand. The same applies tospirituality.
You are the Guru and you are theShishya. In other words, you haveboth Gurutatva and Shishyatatva inyou. You have an External Guru andan Internal Guru. You are ready toaccept the External Guru but areperceiving the Internal Guruthrough Ego and Shadripus.
When you find a Guru, serve Himwithout any expectations. Just havepatience to receive anything from
him. A good Shishya should behumble and honest.
When mans heart is made as perfect as a flower, it becomes the seat of divinity. 5
SU JOK THERAPYCLASSES
Yuvashakti by Mataji
ADHYATMIK PRANETA
Dear Youth,
Janthunam narajanma durlabham.
Attaining human birth is by itself a rare-to-get chance. The human birth is thehighest among the 84 lakhs yonis. Ontop of it, youth which is the best phaseof human life span is a boon from God.This is the best time to change yourselfas well as the socie ty.
Swami Vivekananda says, Give me a
hundred Nachiketas and Ill change theworld. Nachiketa was a young boy whovisited the abode of Lord Yama, the Godof Death. With unswerving faith inHimself and indomitable courage anddevotion to his father, He received thehighest knowledge of the Self.
Most of todays young people are unableto understand the power of their youth. There are so many suicides beingcommitted for very unworthy reasonslike low scores and parental admonition. It is not uncommon to find young peoplehurting and even killing others andthemselves in the name of love. SwamiNachiketananda says that true love
never commands or demands. In therecent Mumbai terror attacks it wastotally youth force that carried out thegruesome operation.
A scientific concept that helps invent alife-saving drug can also be used to acreate a biological weapon. It s for YOU
to decide whether to direct the powerof your youth to create a beautiful andbetter world or to destroy the world.Mother India needs your help ineradicating poverty, illiteracy, corruption, crime and many other vicesimpeding our Nations Progress . If youhave the zeal and join hands to workfor your nation, the dawn of revival of abeautiful world where peace andharmony reign supreme is not too far.
There might be many instances wherepeople have renounced their careersand families and taken up spiritual pathto serve the society, but it is not alwaysessential to do so. You can serve thecountry in your own way. Realize yourrole in the society. . Begin slowly l ike anhour a day or even a week to change
things around you. It is touching to seesome youngsters come together andorganize classes to educate youngchildren. If you add a spiritual fragranceto your activities, every action becomesan offering to the Almighty.
Seek the company of good and the wise. It protects youand promotes your spiritual career.

AT THE ASHRAM
Purify the spectacles of your mind and you will see theworld is God.
Temple construction in progress
Economically India has been throughmany ups and downs but has alwaysremained the Spiritual Super Power.Spirituality is much more than religiousrituals and Bhajans. Spirituality cannotbe found in theories. It is to be practicedand experienced. Spirituality
determines the way you act and reactin your day to day life. It is an art ofliving. It is not how long you lived in thisworld that matters but how you lived.Swami Vivekananda who was wayahead of His time and left an indeliblemark in history, lived to an age of 39years. Swami Vivekananda is Na BhutoNa Bhavishyati. Swamiji had a verysharp intellect and was a genius but still
he had a Spiritual Guru. His life is amessage to mankind especially theyouth.
So gaining inspiration from great soulslike Him, eradicate the evils in oursociety. Awaken the dormant energiesof India. With a combination of Zeal,Spirituality and Proper Guidance froman able Guru, you can do wonders tothe World.
Going back to the Mumbai Tragedy, theyouth involved were also using their zealand power, but under the wrongguidance of power-thirsty, selfish, fanatic leaders. Their interest was
destroying innocent people as opposedto Universal welfare. As SpirituallyEnriched Indians and believers of thetenet Vasudhaika Kutumbam, weshall extend our horizons to serving theentire world. But again, as they say, charity begins at home.
So, dear youth, Wake up!
You are the power of the nation!
You are the soul of the country!
You are the creator of thisbeautiful world!
6The metaphysical and the physical universe are one, and
the name of this One is Brahman.

MATRU DEVO BHAVA!
The Veda has accorded the place of highest prominence to themother when it declared Matru Devobhava! Maa, Mother,Amma, or Aayi is the most beautiful word in the world. A wordthat is full of unconditional love and a word that has no boundaries,no dimensions and no limitations. Celebration of Mothers Day is tomake the world respect this beautiful word MOTHER.
There are many noble mothers in the world. However, Sucharita andVasundhara are the chosen ones for Swami Nachiketananda. Here,we now speak about Sucharita Amma who gave birth to Vishwadeep,a befitting name for He brought the light of knowledge into thisworld. She plays the role of Devaki in Swamijis life.
Swamiji has chosen a beautiful flower filled with fragrance to playthe role of his foster mother before setting on His Divine Missionand so came into His life, Ma Vasundhara- our Yashodamma! Herdeep affection for her son becomes an epitome of Vatsalya PremaMothers love and even Vatsalya Bhakti, a Mothers devotion. Sheplays a major role in His Mission.
A single flower cannot make a garland! Swamiji invited moremothers into His life to help Him in His mission and complete thegarland.
Glory to Motherhood!
Women are living embodiments of the Divine Mother. The first manifestation of God is the hand that rocks the cradle.

One of the concepts pondered uponhere is that of the equality of manand woman in the light of itsapplicability to todays society.
Sa imam eva atmanam dvedhaapatayat
Tatah patischa patnichaabhavatam
Tasmaat idam ardha brigalam ivasva itiha sma aha Yajnavalkya
Meaning: He the cosmic person, dividedhis very body into two; From that singleunit the husband and wife came intobeing; Therefore said Yajnavalkya, thisbody is one half of one self like the twohalves of a split pea.
The doctrine is illustrated in theUpanishad by the characters of womenand men who were of equal intellectualcaliber. In an assembly of a thousandBrahmins who were all erudite in theVedas, Gargi boldly challengedYagnavalkya in a discussion aboutBrahman.
The reasoning offers a tremendousperspective of the subject which ofteninvites debates and has directimplications in the modern times. Theview leaves no room for fighting forequality because neither of the sexesholds a superior status to grant equality
to the other. Indians may proudly claimto be the descendants of theproponents of such highly evolvedtheory of equality of man and woman, but the country is yet to see itsmanifestation in the society. Instillingthe tenets of this beautiful teaching inchildren and youth, would go a long wayin building a society in which men andwomen share equal dignity. This
concept also reinforces that the infiniteAtman is beyond gender distinction andit is one consciousness within all!As Swami Vivekananda said, We shouldnot think that we are men and women, but only that we are human beings, born to cherish and to help oneanother.
Man must revert to his original simplicity when he desiresto know Brahman.

Brihadaranyaka(the great forest)Upanishad from Yajur Veda is one ofthe oldest of the Upanishads. Theteachings emphasize on the non-duality of Brahman to the effect thatBrahman is ekam eva advitiyam-Brahman is one and second to none.Whether it is all-pervading Brahmanin the heart of everyone or theindwelling Atman in an individual,it is one consciousness which is thewitness of all perception. TheUpanishad presents the revelationof the principle (Upadesa), the logicbehind the soundness of the
principle (Upapatti) and ways toexperience the truth laid out(Upasana). The approach adopted toestablish the teachings is thatof Jalpa (argument) andVada(questioning).
The four main illuminedcharacters in BrihadaranyakaUpanishad are the distinguishedsage Yajnavalkya, his wife and aspiritual aspirant Maitreyi,Rajarshi Janaka and theinquisitive and brilliant seeker
Gargi. The dialogues betweenthese intellectual men andwomen and other sages and kingsunfold the knowledge of onenessof Atman- the reality behind theindividual and Brahman- thereality behind the Universe.Experiencing this non-dualityshould be the ultimate goal of aSpiritual Aspirant.
Yajnavalkya dominates theteachings of the Upanishad. Afterhaving lead a noble and fulfillinglife with his two wives, some landand cattle, Yajnavalkya renouncesthe worldly life to become asannyasin. At the time of hisdeparture the questions asked byMaitreyi reveal the importance ofwhy and how Self should be
meditated upon. Yajnavalkyasanswers to the questions of Janakaand other sages in his courtelucidate the knowledge of theessence of the Advaita Vedanta.
BRIHADARANYAKA UPANISHAD
The perception of separateness is an error called my or avidy. This is the culmination of knowledge.
