Montessori children plant flowers for Earth Day

REFLECTION GARDEN

In 1998 Sister Patricia Marie Hill who was the Administrator and Founder of this school, created a sanctuary for the staff, parents, and friends of Mon-tessori. We call this area the Reflection Garden. It is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy nature, to pray or reflect. The Garden is located adjacent to the Annex. The sidewalk leading to the Reflection Garden is com-posed of inscribed bricks with the names of children who attended or are attending Montessori. These bricks have been purchased by current and former students. The cost is $40. The patio area is composed of the same kind of bricks but these are to honor or memorialize a loved one. Kindergarten classes have purchased the fountain, the benches and the lights. Each year the kindergart-ners add something meaningful to this area. You are welcome to come by to view or enjoy this special haven. If you are interested in contributing a brick to this area or want to buy or donate something, please con-tact our office at 502-348-1540.

Kindergarteners enjoy a Pizza Party at the end of the year. The party is to celebrate a year of reading all those wonderful books for Book-It!
