FIRST DIOCESAN HISPANIC FAMILY CONFERENCE
The Offices of Family Life and Hispanic Ministry invites you, and your
communities, to participate in the First Diocesan Hispanic Family
Conference. It will take place at St. Guerin High School in
Noblesville on Saturday, October 2nd from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Mass
will be preceded by our Bishop Timothy Doherty at 4-5pm.
We expect up to 400 people, previously registered. There will be
prayer moments, conferences and activities for the whole family as
well as particular formation opportunities for children (7-12), youth
and parents. Childcare will be available for registered children from
3 to 6 years old.
Register before September 25, 2021. Individual cost $10. Cost for
families $25.
We will have registration forms in the entrance of the church.

LEGION OF MARY CELEBRATES THEIR 100TH ANNIVERSARY ON SEPTEMBER 26
The Legion of Mary offer their service to their pastor to support him in the spiritual works in the parish. Some works
include visitation of the sick in homes, nursing homes and hospitals? Teach religious education? Lead the Holy
Rosary before or after - Masses and at wake services taking Holy Communion to shut-ins and evangelization.
Auxiliary members provide prayer support of the Legion of Mary by praying daily the Holy Rosary and Tessera
(legion prayers. )
On Sunday, September 26, 2021 the Legion of Mary Praesidia from parishes within the Diocese of Lafayette (Mary,
Mother of the Church Comitium) will celebrate their 100th anniversary and reunion. The Legion of Mary was
founded by Frank Duff in Dublin Ireland on September 7, 1921.
The celebration will be held at St. Joan of Arc in Kokomo and will include a prayer service and meal/fellowship. A
procession from the Mary Statue by the bench close to the front of the church will start at 2:00 with a hymn. Roses
will be available for processors to place in a vase in the church. The prayer service will include hymns, Rosary?
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Legion prayers (Tessera) and Fr. Eliot Zak, will preside.
ALL are invited to this celebration, which includes and is not limited to all current and former members of the
Legion of Mary, whether active or auxiliary members, their families, all guests., Pastors, Spiritual Directors, etc.
Following the prayer service everyone is welcome to share in a meal (provided by the Legion of Mary) join in
fellowship renew relationships and reminisce.

La Legión de María ofrece su servicio a su párroco para apoyarlo en las obras espirituales de la parroquia.

HAITI MINISTRY COMMITTEE OF FULTON/PULASKI PASTORATE MINUTES
“Our mission is to support and build friendship between the parishes”
September 8, 2021
In attendance: Arturo and Laura Rosa, Pierre and Barb Absi, Tom Troutman, Curt and Chris Haussmann,
Lisa Becker, Becky Banashak
Barb opened the meeting with prayer. August minutes were reviewed.
Becky announced the Haiti Helpful Dollar Winners. She has gathered the necessary materials and will
mail the letters for the 2022 campaign mid-September. Participants are asked to return their tickets by
October 11, 2021.
No financial statement was available (due to meeting earlier than our regular meeting date). Pierre
announced a $9,500 transfer was made to Father Raphael in August.
Arturo and Laura reported on planning for the Kermes to be held September 25, 2021. Donations are
being made for ingredients but more will need to be purchased. They reviewed the menu and pricing.
Curt will check if any of the Knights of Columbus will be available to help with set up, cook, clean up.
Awnings for outdoor cooking and seating was discussed. The event has been advertised in The
Rochester Sentinel, Shopping Guide News, Catholic Moment, RTC TV, the pastorate bulletin and posters
are being distributed. Colorful tee-shirts with “Kermes for Haiti” are available for workers.
Father Raphael has found a dentist to work at the clinic, once the situation in Haiti calms. The school is
open but he asks the children to come without uniform, to avoid attention to the children on the street.
He sends a big thank you for the transfer he received from our pastorate.
Planning for the Pie Auction will begin at our next meeting. Proceeds will go for medicines for the clinic.
Chris has talked with other Haiti mission teams and learned they are sending cash to allow the priests to
buy medicines in Haiti. Next meeting will be Wednesday, October 6 at 7:00 pm.
