REGULATIONS RELATING TO THE GRADING.PACKING AND MARKING OF ONIONS INTENDEDFOR SALE IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE REPUBUCOF SOUTH AFRICA.-AMENDMENT

The Minister of Agriculture has. under the powers vestedin him by section 89 of the Marketing Act. 1968 (Act 59 of1968). made the regulations set out in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

1. In this Schedule "regulations" means the regulationspublished by Government Notice R. 1268 of 19 June 1981.

2. Reguldtion 4 of the regulations is hereby amended bythe substitution for subregulation (1) of the following sub-regulation:

"(1) Any person who feels aggrieved as a result of anydecision or action taken by an inspector, may appeal againstsuch decision or action by submitting a written notice ofappeal to an inspector within 24 hours after he has beennotified of that decision or action and depositing within thesaid period with an inspector or at any office of the Divisionof Agricultural Product Standards of the Department, a de-posit of R28: Provided that a separate deposit shall be de-posited in respect of each seperate consignment and pro-vided further that if the notice of appeal and the deposit arenot submitted and deposited v..ithinthe prescribed period of24 hours, the appellant shall lose his right of appeal in termsof this regulation.".

3. This notice shall come into operation on date of publi-cation.

1. In hierdie Bylae beteken "regulasies" die regulasiesafgekondig by Goewermentskennisgewing R. 1268 van 19Junie 1981.

I, Jacob de Villiers, Minister of Agriculture, actingunder section 84 of the Marketing Act, 1968 (Act No.59 of 1968) hereby amend Proclamation No. R. 115 of1981 by the substitution for paragraph (e) of the Sche-dule thereof of the following paragraph:

a(e) Transvaal area, i.e. the area comprising theMagisterial Districts of Alberton, Benoni, Boks-burg, Brakpan, Germiston, Johannesburg, Kemp-ton Park, Klerksdorp, Kruge,rsdorp Nigel, Preto-ria, Randfontein, Roodepoort, Springs, Vander-bijlpark, Vereeniging, Verwoerdburg, Westonariaand Wonderboom, and the area of Jurisdiction ofthe Municipality of Witbank;".
