One of the plays is called Town Council and will compete at the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) One-Act Competition next week. The other play is The Uninvited Ghost. Both plays feature many talented North High drama students. North High is located at 2416 11th Avenue East in North St. Paul. The performances are held in the auditorium.

  • In the News Tartan alumna set to graduate early with Applied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology degrees Molly Roettger ('17 Tartan graduate) discovered her love for science during high school. She transferred 26 college credits from Tartan to University of Wisconsin - Stout, and is on track to graduate early. Molly’s story was recently featured on the University’s website. Points of Pride District 622 Minnesota State High School League Triple A Award winners announced Seniors Nathan Huntley (North), Jaclyn Stumpf (North), Katelyn Krummel (Tartan) and Cade Severson (Tartan) were recognized as the 2019 Minnesota State High School League Triple A awardees for District 622. The Triple A award recognizes and honors high school seniors who have excelled in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in the fine arts.

    Left: On Nov. 6, 2018, voters re-elected Caleb Anderson and Michelle Yener to the 622 School Board. First-time candidate Ben Jarman was elected as well. Each of the three School Board members will serve for terms of four years. On January 15, a swearing in ceremony was held for the re-elected and newly-elected school board members.

    Right: Volunteers for Tartan Robotics have donated over 200 hours per season per volunteer, which is equivalent to a total of over 75 seasons. We are appreciative of our volunteers!

    Left: Community member and former 622 teacher Ron Czerepak coordinated community contributions in support of the recent Shoe Bus visit to Webster Elementary. Approximately 100 pair of boots and shoes were dispersed to Webster students. The Shoe Bus is part of the Shoe Away Hunger Program, which is also supported by our Next Step students who do an annual drive.

  • BPA and DECA results Tartan business students qualify for State Conference Tartan Business Professionals of America (BPA) competed in the BPA Region 2 Conference last week. Overall, 17 of the 23 students received awards and qualified for the next round of competition – the State Conference in Minneapolis in March. In all, the team placed 32 times (nine students placed in two or more events).     Community Bridge The Community Bridge newsletter features classes, recreational and social opportunities customized for adults with developmental cognitive disabilities. Community Bridge serves adults with disabilities in the school districts of North St. Paul-Maplewood-Oakdale, Mahtomedi, Roseville, South Washington County, and White Bear Lake.

    Sweetheart Dance Older adults in our community are invited to join Tartan National Honor Society students for a social afternoon of dancing, dessert, and door prizes. Live music is provided by the Golden Tones. There is no cost, but a ticket must be picked up at the Gladstone 55+ Center by January 31.
