It is a SCALA machine with a condensing unit integrated

inside the machine (compressor and condenser).

SCALA Split

It is only a SCALA ice machine. The condensing unit is

not included.

SCALA Split CO2

Like the previous on, but it uses CO2 refrigerant. The

condensing unit is not included.

SCALA U/C Remote (SCALA Split + U/C Remote)

•It is an SCALA split or ice generator, in addition to the corresponding remote U / C, to be installed

separately. It would be 2 independent packages.

Ice Queen

• 18/8 stainless steel housing

• Powerful speed reducer (24Kg./m. @ 7 rpm.)

• Copper evaporator on precision bored tubing (HB 50)

• Durable stainless steel auger with resilient coating

• Ice drops out of the bottom of unit

• Stainless steel Auger especially treated to give it a very high power andlonger life.

• The IQ range produces Flakes Ice or Grain ice or also calls sequins, with aspecial cylindrical and vertical evaporator system of high resistance.

• Our new design of the reducer-motor ,auger , cushion and productionsystem gives to this range of machine an total warranty and optimumperformance.

Operating Principle

• Water enters water trough via a float valve which provides a constant head ofwater.

• Through a hole in the bottom of the trough, water flows into the bottom of theevaporator and floods it to the same height as in the water trough. Water freezesupon contact with evaporator wall, and is scraped off as ice by the vertical,rotating auger.

• Ice is carried upward until it passes through discharge flap and falls into bin.

• When bin is full, automatic shut-off sensor (micro-switch on discharge flap)switches off machine

HOW DOES IT WORK

The water is introduced into a cilyndryc evaporator

(where it freezes by contact with its surface - pict.n°1)

and is scraped off by a rotating auger mechanism (pict.n°2),

thus producing ice flakes.

The ice flakes (once scraped by the auger) are carried upward until they reach the

“window” at the top part of the conveyor to the bin (where the fall into)

When bin is full automatic the micro switch switches off machine
