The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the followingappointments:

(i) Ms. T. Rajeshwari, ISS (85), Additional Secretary, Department of Water Resources,River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti as Additional Secretary,Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.

(ii) Shri Arvlnd Singh, IAS (MH:88), presently in the Cadre, as Chairman, AirportsAuthority of India, Ministry of Civil Aviation in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

(iii) Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, IAS (UK:88), Additional Secretary, Department of HigherEducation, Ministry of Human Resource Development as Chairman, National HighwaysAuthority of India, Ministry of Road Transport & Highways in the rank and pay of AdditionalSecretary by temporarily downgrading the post against the vacancy caused due to appointment ofShri Nagendra Nath Sinha, IAS (JH:87) as Secretary, Department of Border'Management.

(iv) Shri Rakesh Sarwal, IAS (TR:88), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Food ProcessingIndustries as Additional Secretary, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of HumanResource Development vice Shri Sukhbir Singh Sandhu, IAS (UK:8$) on his appointment asChairman, National Highways Authority of India.

(v) Shri Ashish Upadhyay, IAS (MP:89), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Coal as AdditionalSecretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Power by temporarily upgrading the vacant post ofJoint Secretary & Financial Advisor in the Ministry.

(vi) Shri K. Sanjay Murthy, IAS (HP:89), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Housing andUrban Affairs as Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director, Delhi Mumbai IndustrialCorridor Development Corporation, Ministry of Commerce & Industry in the rank and pay ofAdditional Secretary by temporarily upgrading the post.

(vii) Shri Keshav Kumar Pathak, IAS (BH:90), presently in the Cadre, as ManagingDirector, National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd., Ministry of RoadTransport & Highways in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

(viii) Shri Ganji Kamala V. Rao, IAS (KL:90), presently in the Cadre, as Chairman andManaging Director, India Tourism Development Corporation Ltd. in the rank and pay ofAdditional Secretary.

(ix) Shri K. Moses Chalai, IAS (MN:90), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Women and ChildDevelopment as Secretary, North Eastern Council Secretariat, Ministry of Development ofNorth Eastern Region in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary.

(x) Shri S. Gopalakrishnan, IAS (TN:91), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics andInformation Technology as A~ditional Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and InformationTechnology against the vacancy caused due to appointment of Shri Pankaj Kumar, IAS (NL:87)as CEO, Unique Identification Authority of India.

(xiv) Ms. Rachna Shah, IAS (KL:91), Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat as AdditionalSecretary, Cabinet Secretariat against the vacancy caused due to appointment of Shri RajeshBhushan, IAS (BH8?) as Secretary (Coordination), Cabinet Secretariat.

(xv) Shri B. Srinivas, IAS (KL:91), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Micro, Small and MediumEnterprises as Managing Director, National Horticulture Board, Department of Agriculture,Cooperation and Farmers Welfare in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary by temporarilyupgrading the post vice Shri M. Ariz Ahammed, IAS (AM:95).

(xvi) Shri Satya Brata Sahu, IAS (OR:91), Director, National Highways & InfrastructureDevelopment Corporation Limited as Additional Secretary, Department of Land Resources,Ministry of Rural Development.

(xvii) Shri Vijayendra, IAS (AM:91), Joint Secretary, Department of Defence Production asChairman & Managing Director, National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. in the rank andpay of Additional Secretary under Central Staffing Scheme.

2. The ACC has also approved upgradation of the following officers of 1991 batch on in-situbasis to the level of Additional Secretary to the Government of India, as a measure personal to them,by temporarily upgrading the posts held by them:
