We all have dreams, of love, laughter, health, happiness, belonging. While the themes may be common, the details are often as unique as the individual. Sometimes dreams can be relative. You may have a “dream job” in mind, while others, like many of the residents, dream of having ANY job.

I challenge all of us to dream bigger, because anyone who has set foot at Noah Homes knows that dreams do come true. In 1983, a small group of families dreamt of lifelong homes for their six loved ones with developmental disabilities. Now we have 10 homes, 90 residents, and more than 130 staff.

There are still many, many more families who are dreaming of lifelong homes. I want to make their dreams come true. I dream of more places like Noah Homes, Noah Neighborhoods, apartment buildings, country living, and other housing choices for adults with developmental disabilities. The variety would be just like the ones available to us, but with the added supports needed to thrive.

I dream of collaborations across the country with caregivers, policy makers and researchers to better understand the issues of people aging with developmental disabilities, who are now living active, healthy lives into their 60s and beyond.

I dream of dream jobs for people with disabilities, and a more inclusive community that sees all of the benefits of having diverse coworkers.

I dream of a California budget that fully funds services and supports for people with developmental disabilities, as required by the Lanterman Act in 1977.

And since that may be the least likely of all my dreams to come true, I dream that Noah Homes finds the one, or a group of many, who will donate $25 million to fund Noah Homes operations in perpetuity.

In 2019, our second year of Enchanted Village raised more than $213,000. We welcomed many new faces to Noah Homes and were blessed to see how many people and companies came together to transform our grounds into a winter wonderland.

Behind all of these dreams are amazing individuals alongside me. This issue highlights some of these people, their dreams, and their tireless effort to make sure our residents are loved and healthy, that they laugh and feel like they belong.

As I stand on the patio of Casa de Amor, one of our two memory care homes, looking out over the other houses, I am proud of what we have accomplished together. But I cannot stand idle knowing how much more can be done.

Reflections at Sea: A Deeper Appreciation for House Managers By Katie Renvall, Development & Events Manager at Noah Homes

“Let’s go on a cruise,” they said. “It will be fun,” they said. They weren’t kidding. It was a blast, but it was also an eye-opening experience into the enormous responsibility of a Noah Homes House Manager.

Being in the Development & Marketing department, I don’t get to see what the House Managers duties are day to day. After going on this cruise with them, I realize that they are real life superheroes.

The title “House Manager” has a whole new meaning to me now. Our Carnival Cruise included 16 residents, three House Managers and CEO Molly Nocon. We were nonstop for six days.

On a ship with thousands of people, imagine having to account for 16 residents 24 hours a day, passing medications, being personal accountants, memorizing unique allergies and medical histories, accommodating the night owls and the early morning risers, you name it. The House Managers always maintained a positive attitude. They set the pace and it was clear to see that they are the reason why we continue to be best in class.

We spent two days at sea, two days in Cabo San Lucas and one in Ensenada. The residents enjoyed a boat tour where we saw whales breach the water, indulged in tacos on the beach and shopped ‘till we dropped. On the ship, we enjoyed dinner each evening, slot machines at the casino, dancing to live shows and some rest and relaxation in the hot tub.

Overall, this was an amazing trip with a lifetime of memories. It is a true honor to be working side by side with this team, and to continue to learn firsthand what it means to give our residents exceptional care.

Aging Out: Film on Autism Features Noah HomesDuring the critical ages of

18 to 21, many search for meaning, purpose, and independence as they enter the first phase of adulthood. But what does that journey look like for someone with autism?

As a mother of a young adult with autism, Melissa Collins-Porter sought out to document her son, Liam, and others with autism who are “Aging Out” of the support systems available. Her movie shines a light on a gap in our system that leaves families of people with autism and other disabilities without many answers.

The California Department of Developmental Services now serves more than 100,000 people with autism. Once out of school, a majority end up living at home with family, whether they want to or not, due to a lack of programs, employment and housing options.

In the film, Noah Homes is highlighted as a viable solution to the housing and care shortage.

“As an autism parent, I feel intentional communities are a wonderful idea and it’s my dream for my son to live in one eventually,” Melissa said.

“Aging Out,” made its debut on November 22, 2019 in a packed theater of families, friends and other advocates.

In a review by the Association for Science in Autism Treatment, the authors state: “There is an immense strain on the system to find the funding to support the growing adult population with autism… Few solutions are in sight, and the number of individuals needing services continues to increase. This 32-minute film does an excellent

job of highlighting the different experiences and support needs of young adults with autism.”

A Night to ShineTwinkling lights, sparkling outfits, and dancing the night away. There are few experiences more thrilling than watching

the folks put on their dresses and tuxes before heading to A Night to Shine in their limo bus. The annual prom event in February, sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation, brought more than 200 people with special needs from across San Diego County to Church SD in Mission Gorge.

The residents, being the life of the party as always, spent most of the evening on the dance floor or singing karaoke. With a mix of top hits and ‘80s classics, the folks and their volunteer escorts showed off their favorite moves and their vocal range. The night also included a dinner courtesy of Chick-fil-A, and a corsage or boutonniere for each attendee. It was an unforgettable time, and we are already looking forward to next year!

Navy Volunteers paint decorations with residents for the Enchanted Village.

Enchanted Village A Dream Becomes a Holiday Miracle

The Enchanted Village once again brought back the magic of the holidays as Noah Homes transformed into a winter wonderland! New attractions were a hit, including a

snow run, an outdoor movie theater and a light tunnel.

Thanks to an increase in attendance and sponsorships, we were able to hire eight residents, doubling our employment of adults with disabilities from 2018. For our residents, having a job made the holidays even more magical.

The festivities began on December 12, when volunteers, friends, family and other community supporters joined in a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the Enchanted Village. Speakers included San Diego County Supervisor Dianne Jacob; Joshua Bloodgood, Navy Chaplain on the USS Bonhomme Richard; and Sam “The Cooking Guy” Zien, owner of Not Not Tacos and Graze – all who were key in bringing the Enchanted Village to life.

Over the next two weekends, attendees ooo’d and ahhh’d at over 50,000 lights while enjoying hot cider, hot chocolate, and food from local food trucks.

Each night was made even more special with a wide variety of performers, including choirs, hand bell groups,

local high schools, and strolling carolers.

Thank you to everyone who donated and purchased tickets, volunteered, sponsored, and more. You helped raise over $213,000, and the Enchanted Village is well on its way to becoming our biggest fundraiser yet!

Because it truly is a season of giving, we were also happy to offer 1,000 free tickets to military families through a partnership with zero8hundred and STEP, and all of those tickets were claimed in less than 48 hours.

We have lots of ideas for the Enchanted Village 2020 and hope to have your continued support for this San Diego holiday tradition. If interested in sponsoring or volunteering, please contact Katie Renvall at [email protected] or 619-660-6200 x134.

Answering the Call: Loved Ones Make Noah Homes’ Dreams a RealityThrough creativity and resourcefulness, parents and other family members at Noah Homes have found ways to support the

continued care of their loved ones. From volunteering to becoming a donor, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved and help fulfill one of the many dreams for our Noah Homes community. Don and Leslie Crawford and Ellie Cansicio are two great examples.

Don and Leslie CrawfordDon and Leslie have always tried to stay active with their son’s life at Noah Homes. When the Enchanted Village started in 2018, both decided to become lead volunteers for all six nights. Everyone loved the idea of serving hot apple cider for the Enchanted Village 2019, but there wasn’t enough staff to run another booth.

Once again, Don and Leslie answered the call. “Christmas is a magical time of year, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to give back,” Leslie said. The Crawfords set up their own booth, mixed their own apple cider recipe, and powered their lights and kettles with their own mini generator.

“We served a total of 1,225 cups, and used about 29 gallons of cider,” she said. They also made over $500 in the donation jar, all of which went back to Noah Homes and the care of their son, Andrew. “We could not have asked for anywhere better for Andrew to live his life and we always remember how much Noah Homes has given to us. We try and seize every opportunity when it arises.”

Ellie CansicioWhen Ellie Cansicio left the 2019 State of the Ark, she was astounded by the annual shortfall of $7,800 per resident. Ellie, mother of Phillip, knew she had to step forward and help support her son’s care in some way.

Realizing that her donation alone was not enough to cover the shortfall for Phillip, Ellie began to reach out to her inner circle. “My dear friend Mary Ekstrom became a monthly donor in support of Phillip’s care, and shortly after, one of my daughters became a donor with an initial gift of $500.”

Ellie proudly continues to advocate for her son’s care, and hopes to turn more family members and friends into monthly donors this year. “When someone calls for help, I try and answer that call to the best of my abilities. Noah Homes has made my dream a reality by ensuring Phillip’s lifelong care. Answering the call at the State of the Ark was a dream that my circle of support and I could help realize.”

Don and Leslie Crawford smile for a quick photo before the crowds arrive at the Enchanted Village.

Are There Holes in Your Estate Plan? How well does your plan protect and provide for you and your loved ones? It is always a good practice to be

able to answer this question with confidence. Just as we plan for our taxes and required minimum distributions, it’s best to have your plan reviewed each year for effectiveness and tax efficiency. Updates could include changing a beneficiary, redirecting your required minimum distribution or leaving a planned gift to Noah Homes. Planned giving is a wonderful way to maximize your retirement income, preserve and grow your estate, and ensure your legacy.

Pinkee Celebrates Her Retirement

Casa de Caridad: Bryan and Julie Make Their Dreams of Independence Come TrueBryan

For someone with a disability, getting to work can be a challenge and an opportunity to be independent. When Bryan moved to Noah Homes in June of 2018, transportation options

were offered to him, but he wanted to take public transportation to and from his job in Fashion Valley. With the support of his House Manager, David Smith, Bryan learned the trolley lines, stops, and schedule times in order to get himself to and from work every day at the mall.

For the first week, David rode the trolley with Bryan, making sure he was okay with doing the route by himself. “After the third day, Bryan had the path down and no longer wanted me to ride with him,” David said. “I believe having a choice empowers Bryan and the rest of our folks, and gives them a sense of responsibility over their lives.”

Julie

If you have had the opportunity to chat with Julie, chances are she’s told you something along the lines of “Noah Homes is my forever home.” For Julie, moving to Noah Homes

has given her an opportunity to make new friends, try new activities and grow in her own independence. She has really taken this in stride! Julie participates in almost every weekly activity, and has also become the karaoke party coordinator for Casa de Caridad, planning everything from the food menu to the song list. She has an organized daily routine and is proud and meticulous with her tasks and chores, because they are her responsibility.

“She advocates very well for herself and has helped others do the same,” says David. “I have seen more of a bond between all of the folks in Caridad since Julie moved in.”

Julie hopes to eventually do volunteer work at a theater, have a paid job, and become a piano instructor. In her short time living at Casa de Caridad, she has become a shining example of what we hope each resident can achieve when moving to Noah Homes.

If you are interested in getting to know more about the residents’ daily routines, check out our “Day in the Life of Julie” video at https://vimeo.com/noahhomes

Pinkee, staff, and her family celebrate her retirement.

Pinkee, a resident at Casa de Felicidad, started off 2020 with a party! After working at the Thrift Korral & Boutique in La Mesa for many years

(11,000 hours to be exact) Pinkee officially retired. Although this was a bitter-sweet moment for her, Pinkee celebrated her retirement surrounded by family, loved ones, co-workers and pink decorations, of course. Congratulations to Pinkee, we are all very excited for you!

“I see a fully developed property with space for the residents to gather, the staff to relax, and people to visit for activities. This is a sustainable place where we can share this idea and plan with others across the country and around the world. I see satellite locations in San Diego as well.”

— Mary O’Connor, Vice President of the Board

“I hope that Noah Homes can be a light for all families – even the ones we aren’t able to house. By our example, I hope we are able to spread more understanding and passion for caregiving for people with disabilities.”

— Rachel McKinney, Board Member

“The dreams are endless for Noah Homes, with the passion and motivation that we all have, they will continue to move mountains. My dream for Noah Homes is that it will continue to thrive and we will continue to grow Noah Homes’ best in class model nationally. The dream is for the population of adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities to be forever taken care of.”

— Wayne Finley, Board Member

“My BIG dream for the future of Noah Homes has two parts. First, I dream that the story of Noah and its folks inspires the community to generously fund an endowment sufficient to allow Noah to operate in perpetuity. Secondly, I dream that the Noah Homes innovative model of care will inspire the development of more nonprofit care communities using Noah best practices to allow others to have the Noah experience of warmth, care and community.”

— Randy Gustafson, Board Member

“My daughter Samantha. Born with cerebral palsy, and as an adult, her living in a group home in Los Angeles for 20 years prior to us moving to San Diego, drove me to find the best community based home for her. Once we discovered Noah Homes and she was accepted, I knew I wanted to do something that could make a difference for the organization. I joined the Board of Directors.”

— Mark Cassell, Board Member

“One of the most significant inspirations for my joining the Board of Directors was my son Zach, who was born with Down syndrome in 2008. About three years after he was born, I received a message from our former Board Chair, Gail Sullivan, inquiring about helping out on the Board of Directors. After meeting with Gail and Molly and learning about the mission of Noah Homes, it just felt like the right fit for me.”

— Adam Larson, Treasurer

“A fellow Board member introduced me to Noah Homes a few years ago. My inspiration is to pay respect to a childhood friend of mine with Down syndrome who suffered at the hands of his father because he was not what he perceived to be ‘perfect.’”

— Jill Lozier, Assistant Treasurer

Meet the Board: Get to Know the Noah Homes Board of Directors“I was inspired to join the board by my dear friend of over 20 years, Molly Nocon, and her incredible brother Herbie. I believe with all my heart that each and every one of us is beautifully and wonderfully made by God. That was no more evident in anyone I know than in Herbie Hillson. His infectious smile and love of life, no matter what was going on around him, deeply touched me and our young son, Nicholas, from the very first time we met him. He was an amazing man who constantly inspired and he just happened to have Down syndrome. Being on the board gives me a chance to share with others.”

— Stephanie Kiesel, Board Member

“Sometimes passion comes through hard work and other times it just comes from within. Best of all, it comes when you are least expecting it. For me, the passion I possess for Noah Homes overwhelmed me the minute I stepped foot on the grounds about five years ago. I can’t really explain it to be honest, but if I had to try I would simply say there is something magical about Noah Homes. When I step back and look at all the amazing people who work so hard every day along with the volunteers and donors who all selflessly come together to make Noah Homes a continued reality for the 90 folks we have living there, it’s obvious to me that the passion I feel is also felt by many others. That’s the magic I guess.”

— Marc Iacono, Board President

“Because it’s the happiest place on earth. Everyone from the leadership team to recently hired house staff inspire me with how they genuinely care for our residents. Within moments of stepping onto the Noah Homes grounds you will discover the pride our residents have of their home.”

— Tom Finch, Secretary of the Board

“My passion for Noah Homes was derived from the blessing of seeing my daughter absolutely blossom by living in the Noah Homes environment. Not only has she integrated into an active community where prior she was content to be somewhat isolated, she also has experienced making and maintaining friendships, working cooperatively with others, dealing with emotions and having empathy for others. I did not think that she would develop or experience these parts of life that others may take for granted. I see the changes in her, I hear the happiness in her voice.”

— Debra Elwell, Board Member

“I am passionate and in love with Noah Homes, so is my daughter Alicia. It is the most REAL and GENUINE place on earth. The care is truly from the heart and at the highest level in San Diego. It is the true HAPPIEST PLACE ON EARTH with Disneyland at a distant second.”

— Philip Curtis, Board Member

Employee of the Year: Hazel Tapit

Volunteer of the Year: Colette GerardColette Gerard continues to find ways to support her son, Andre, at Noah

Homes. In addition to her generous financial contributions, she decided to add volunteer to her list. Since July 2019, she has been volunteering almost every Wednesday with our folks. Colette spends the afternoons at Casa de Amor assisting with the Life Enrichment Day Program, reading stories, lending a helping hand with arts and crafts projects, and playing games with the residents. She makes an effort to remember each of the folks’ names and what they are most engaged with.

Jill Burns, Life Enrichment Day Program Coordinator, looks forward to having Colette’s extra support on Wednesdays. “She is one of the kindest and most patient people I have ever met. She wants to help the residents and staff in any way she can, and is willing to do whatever the residents want to do. She’s an absolute pleasure to have as a volunteer.”

The Noah Homes team is excited to name Colette our Volunteer of the Year. We can’t thank her enough for staying engaged. She will be presented with a plaque for her generosity at this year’s Summerfest. Thank you Colette!

We are excited to congratulate Memory Care Homes Casa Supervisor Hazel Tapit as the 2019 Employee of the Year! Hazel

has been a member of the Noah Homes team since December of 2016, and is a true representation of best in class care. Hazel has learned to join the residents’ journey through Alzheimer’s disease with compassion, dignity and respect, and makes sure their needs are met when they need it most.

She is a true caregiver and a passionate advocate for the residents, always promoting their independence while making sure they enjoy life. Senior House Manager of Casa de Amor and Casa de Lauridsen, Jerry Godinez shared, “Since she started working for us, she has moved her way up by working hard and representing the mission of Noah Homes with pride. Hazel promptly attends to the needs of the residents, goes above and beyond and her fervor is contagious. She shares her many talents at every opportunity she has, wears her heart on her sleeve and does not hesitate to get her hands dirty...this is a well deserved distinction that I hope she enjoys with a glass of quality wine.” Hazel is awarded by COO Sandra Rocco-Melville

and Memory Care Homes Senior House Manager, Jerry Godinez.

In Loving Memory

Raquel Salazar 9/16/69-11/17/19

Raquel Salazar was a vibrant woman and a friend to many, who lived her life to the fullest at Noah Homes. Raquel thrived in many areas and was a true advocate for herself and her friends with developmental disabilities.

Moving to Noah Homes in 1991, Raquel flourished in a place where independence and quality of life were promoted. Raquel lived in Casa de Fe, Casa de Caridad, Casa de Paz, and Casa de Lauridsen throughout her 28 years here.

She had a sense of humor filled with sarcasm, irony and wit. She loved identifying herself as Catholic, particularly to prove her innocence. “I didn’t do that, I’m Catholic,” she would say.

Raquel was romantic and headstrong. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, dining with loved ones and frequently attending outings. Through the last days of her journey with Alzheimer’s, Raquel exuded resilience and determination that not even the heartbreaking disease could diminish. Just like any other argument with Raquel, she walked away a winner.

She had a sincere smile that will be remembered and a cheerful spirit that graced Noah Homes. Raquel made Noah Homes a better place, and Noah Homes helped her to become the best version of herself.

Mike Lemkey 1/16/66-11/28/19

Since 2004, Mike lived in Casas de Flores and Felicidad before moving to the Memory Care Homes in 2016. A lovable man, Mike was quiet and took his time to accomplish most of his daily tasks, whether it be eating, walking, greeting you with a slowly outstretched hand, or responding with short answers and a sweet voice. Despite his leisurely pace, Mike made friends quickly, receiving as much attention and love as he gave.

Mike was a big fan of Michael Jackson. He loved to play his music and dress up like Michael Jackson every year for Halloween, even wearing one shiny glove all year in his honor. He had a wonderful sense of humor and could connect with anyone without saying a word, like only people with a gentle soul can.

Mike will be missed. He left us with valuable lessons: to see the world around you, take your time to savor the good things in life and to try to make everyone’s life a little better by letting your inner light shine.

San Miguel Fire & Rescue: Amazon Wishlist This past December, Santa arrived a few days early

to Noah Homes. However, instead of arriving on a sleigh guided by reindeer, he drove in on a fire truck with firefighters from the San Miguel Fire & Rescue! The firefighters stopped at each Casa and delivered presents to the residents from the Casa’s Amazon Wishlists. Each home received a variety of different items off of their lists, including bath and household products, to games and entertainment. Their kindness was a wonderful holiday surprise, and the folks were very excited to meet their local heroes, and the man in the red suit from the North Pole.

If you would like to donate items off of the Amazon Wishlists, visit noahhomes.org/wishlist. Choose as many items

as you would like to donate from each list, and add it to your cart for checkout. Additionally, please consider going to smile.amazon.com when shopping on Amazon for any purchases, and choosing Noah Homes as your nonprofit. A donation will automatically go to the charity of your choice!

After Thanksgiving comes Black Friday and our favorite, Giving Tuesday. Started in 2012 as a day that encourages people to do good, it has

grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Given the massive fires across California, we asked for your help to raise funds for two generators to ensure the safety of our most fragile residents during a power outage.

Electricity is required for medically necessary equipment such as oxygen machines, and the generators will allow the very fragile residents to remain in their homes in the care of staff rather than needing to change locations, which can cause severe duress and confusion.

We are very grateful to all who participated and are happy to share that we raised nearly $20,000, fully funding the purchase of the two generators, which can power Noah Homes in case of an emergency.

Thank you to all, and a special shoutout to Asbury Steel Inc., Kiwanis Club of La Jolla, the San Miguel Firefighter Foundation, Jim Provencher, and Sue DePriest, who continue to amaze us with their consistent giving. The success of Giving Tuesday reminds us that we are surrounded by a community who cares and loves the wonderful residents of Noah Homes!

Grant Support Makes a Big DifferenceThe community is the biggest supporter of Noah Homes’ mission of compassionate care. Grantors like A-1 Self Storage,

Ability Central, the C.J. Stafford & Dot Stafford Memorial Trust, and the Walter & Betty Zable Foundation continue to enhance the lives of our residents with much needed funding for services and programs. We were blessed to have A-1 Self Storage provide an additional grant for $100,000 for Enchanted Village enhancements including a large scale Nativity that will be a permanent addition to the magic of the Village for years to come. Ability Central provided $20,000 in support for augmentative communication training for staff to better serve many of our residents. The C.J. Stafford & Dot Stafford Memorial Trust awarded $3,000 to fund the Life Enrichment Day Program in the Memory Care Homes, allowing our fragile residents a wonderful opportunity to receive services right in their homes from the staff they know and love. Lastly, the Walter & Betty Zable Foundation continues to make a difference with an award of $20,000 for general support that allows us to continue our best in class care. Thank you to our committed grantors who continue to make a big difference!

Andrew, Julie, Jenny, and Joey are ready for this year’s Summerfest theme: A Lil’ Bit of Country!

Service Spotlight: Marcia Fox Sets High Bar for Resident SupportThere are many reasons why so many people want a place like Noah Homes

to call home. One is because of access to experts like Marcia Fox, who share their craft with staff and ensure the folks are living their best lives.

In her 25 years as a registered nurse, Marcia Fox has helped those in the most fragile states, including in her work as an Independent Nurse Consultant at Noah Homes for the past 16 years, facilitating staff training and resident health as-sessments. Even through two bouts of breast cancer, Marcia remained dedicated to service.

“As she manages her own battles, she is an incredible role model and selfless leader, showing others how to persevere through the toughest of times,” said Sandra Rocco-Melville, Chief Operating Officer and Program Director at Noah Homes. “Our residents are able to thrive surrounded by the best staff in the world, and our families are forever grateful.”

Marcia checks in with Patrick and Kevin, who are always happy to see her.

Fixin’ to Have a Great Time at Summerfest A lil’ bit of Country is coming to our Noah Homes Summerfest Fundraiser, Concert & BBQ on Saturday, June 20.

Join more than 500 friends and family in support of crucial building projects, programs, lifelong housing and services at Noah Homes. The afternoon of fun will include a delicious BBQ, a lively auction, a DJ playing themed music of greats like Johnny Cash and Kenny Chesney, and much more.

The 2019 Summerfest was a sellout event and we set a new record, raising more than $220,000. Each year we fundraise to compensate for the nearly $1 million in our budget that is not funded by the government. We cannot thank you enough for your participation!

Don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets, because we will sell out again. We also have many sponsorships and volunteer opportunities and would be happy to customize an opportunity to fit your needs. Contact Katie Renvall at 619-660-6200 x134 or [email protected].

Due to COVID-19, this event may be moved or reimagined. As our biggest fundraiser, please contact [email protected] to ensure you are included on updates.

Securing the Future

“The bigger the dream, the greater the opportunity.” – Richard Branson

Richard Branson has dyslexia and on his last day at school, his headmaster told him he would either end up in prison or become a millionaire. His headmaster was wrong on both accounts. Branson now has an estimated net worth of more than $4 billion.

Dreams keep hope alive, regardless of obstacles or naysayers. We know that when Tim was born, his parents were told that he should be “institutionalized,” that he would have a rough life, and not live very long. They had other plans. Tim has gone to Washington to advocate for people with developmental disabilities, modeled in a fashion show, worked as a volunteer at Whispering Winds, and so much more. Every time I see him, he makes me happy, because he is so darn happy.

Dreams can also be scary. The Noah Homes staff already works tirelessly to care for its 90 residents 24 hours a day. On top of their daily duties, they do their part to help raise the funds Noah Homes needs to keep its doors open. The idea of creating the Enchanted Village was daunting. Yet, in its second year, it has already brought thousands of people to Noah Homes, employed eight residents, and thanks to our many valued donors, we raised $213,000.

When the Ark Angel Foundation was created in 2007, it was the dream of Peter Ferrantelli, his family, and other founders to financially support Noah Homes and maintain the high level of quality that has established us as the national standard for programs and services offered today. I want to honor Peter’s legacy by continuing to dream big. More on this in the coming weeks!

We dream that we can fund the Ark Angel Foundation with enough money to sustain Noah Homes in perpetuity. And of course, the hope is that this dream then becomes a reality, so we can dream even bigger.

I call on you to dream with us. Our 2020 Vision may have some saying our dream is too big. Those who have known Noah Homes, as long as I have, know that nothing is impossible when we put our minds together and make it happen!

If you have never been to Noah Homes, or if you haven’t been to our beautiful community in a while, please feel free to reach out to us to schedule a visit. Our residents and staff are proud of the forever homes and wish for you to be a part of the community.

In Gratitude,

Jack V. Cohen President, Noah’s Ark Angel Foundation
