Noah’s ArkGod told Noah to build an ark. It was very big! Noah built the ark. Then he loaded it with animals. The animals came in pairs. Noah and his family went in the ark, and God closed the door.

Then it rained and rained and rained. It rained for 40 days and nights! There was a flood over the whole earth.

After the flood, God made a wind blow over the earth to dry up the flood. The ark came to rest on a mountain. When the waters had dried up, Noah and his family and all the animals came out of the ark.

Noah built an altar to the Lord and worshipped him. God blessed Noah and his family. He put a beautiful rainbow in the sky as a promise that he would never again destroy the whole earth with a flood.

God’s Word, the Bible, tells of many promises from God to his people. The most important promise in the Bible is the promise that Jesus is our Savior and everyone who believes in him will be saved.
