What is Cancer?Your body is made up of trillions of tiny cells. These

cells grow, divide, die, grow, divide, die, replacing each other over and over. Cancer cells do not die off, they grow and divide over and over until they create a tumor.

Cancer- The uncontrollable growth of abnormal cells.

Why is a tumor so bad?

Tumors can interfere with normal body processes, block passage ways in the body, and take nutrients from normal cells.

Not all tumors are cancerous. You can develop a tumor that is non cancerous. This is called a Benign tumor (Non Cancerous) A cancerous tumor is called a Malignant tumor.

A malignant tumor can spread to other tissues and organs through the blood or lymph. This spread of cancer to other body areas is called Metastasis.
