National CNA Appreciation Week is June 13th – 19th, 2019. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA’s) play a vital role in giving direct, personal care to our participants. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse, these ladies provide important information to help form the best possible ongoing care plan that is individualized for everyone enrolled here at RossWoods.
Back row left to right: Sally Wheat. Sally has a unique sense of humor when interacting with our RossWoods participants. She is great at turning a frown upside down while giving personal direct care. Veronica Richmond. Veronica has a strong work ethic and can always motivate us to do more for our participants every day. Melissa Laster. Melissa has the gift of flexibility and a quick smile to brighten everyone’s day.
Front row left to right: Amy Jones. Amy, our newest member, is eager to learn new
things about our participants and her job duties here at RossWoods. Amanda Martinez. Amanda is quiet and studious. She is great at anticipating the needs of our participants. Lydia Hooper. Lydia is quick to help her team members and is a great source of encouragement to all who come in contact with her.
Our CNA’s are quick to communicate our participants’ needs or changes to the nurses. They have strong observation skills and are great team players. Each one of them feels a strong sense of calling to work in the healthcare field. They are reliable and dependable. They manage their time wisely and are able to get their job duties completed in an efficient manner – all while taking time to care and listen to each participants’ needs. RossWoods is very fortunate to have them on our team.
Only a dad, with a tired face, Coming home from the daily race, Bringing little of gold or fame, To show how well he has played the game, But glad in his heart that his own rejoice To see him come, and to hear his voice.
Only a dad, with a brood of four, One of ten million men or more. Plodding along in the daily strife, Bearing the whips and the scorns of life, With never a whimper of pain or hate, For the sake of those who at home await.
Only a dad, neither rich nor proud, Merely one of the surging crowdToiling, striving from day to day, Facing whatever may come his way, Silent, whenever the harsh condemn, And bearing it all for the love of them.
Only a dad, but he gives his allTo smooth the way for his children small, Doing, with courage stern and grim, The deeds that his father did for him. This is the line that for him I pen, Only a dad, but the best of men.
