VILLA DESCRIPTION

VILLA 519 IN NOOSA, QUEENSLAND, AUSTRALIA

Being the designers own project, gave enormous scope and freedom with an unrestricted brief. The

north aspect was achieved by placement of the pool in the northern corner and opening the whole rear

side of the living spaces to this. Also an inclusion of a glass two storey void allowing northern light to

penetrate into both levels. The large overhangs on the western terraces provide the sun protection.





And the angling and curving of the glass walls to all the waterfront rooms allow for the almost sideways

view pocket to be taken in, from practically any place in the house.

The feel of the home is something that has evolved rather than been set in place from the beginning.

Square and sharp skillion roofs hover over curved concrete beams and high light glass walls. All doors

and windows are completely floor to ceiling with tracks recessed and hidden giving a minimalistic

touch. The large spans creating some added challenge to engineering of the almost all concrete

construction.

A mix of natural materials has been used including alternating timber veneer panels to ceilings, internal

doors and cabinetry. Timber windows, Black butt timber floors, sandstone and timber terraces, marble

bathrooms. Other materials such stainless steel, glass and aluminum have also been extensively used.

The pool becomes an integral feature of the home with the water flowing through the entry and

underneath the curved staircase. A custom designed stainless steel water feature rises up through the

central axis of the stairs.

The lounge room has a large plasma screen with DVD, Bose sound system and Austar channels with

surround sound. There is also a small cinema media room with a large screen projector and full

surround sound.

The upper level of the home is where this is shown with 4 bedrooms each with their own bathroom

facilities and great separation between these areas whilst having their own outlook or terrace. On the

ground floor there is a spacious 5th bedroom guest suite along with ensuite bathroom. There are

televisions in the master and 2 x guest suites and a spa bath in the master ensuite.

The Kitchen is fully equipped with Meile appliances coffee machine and fridge with icemaker.

Outdoors there are kayaks that are available for guest use. There is also a gas barbecue by the

swimming pool.

Overall this is a spectacular villa, certainly one of Noosa's finest waterfront residences.
