Nordic Community Programme

Welcome to Orlando!

Dear Nordic Delegates, Welcome to the HIMSS Nordic Community Programme and to the 2020 HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition!

This is the 11th year the HIMSS Nordic Community has been travelling to the US for the Global Conference. And look how far we’ve come! In these years, our community has grown both in numbers and in breadth and depth of expertise. The conversations have shifted from talk to action, and there is no better way to show this than through the amazing program we have in store this week - especially the Meet the Nordic Changemakers session, which is open to all delegates at the conference.

In addition to the dedicated Nordic workshop on ‘Turning Data into Insights’, some of you will be enjoying the two tours to Nemours and AdventHealth, high-level HIMSS20 keynote speakers, an interoperability showcase tour and all the global learning opportunities. We are also excited about this year’s networking activities: join us at our Nordic Welcome Reception, International Reception, and Nordic Networking Dinner to connect with healthcare leaders and stakeholders from across borders. This brochure will provide you with all the information you need to know about our program and other activities. We hope you enjoy this year’s edition and have an inspiring week ahead!

Use the hashtags #HIMSS20 and #HIMSSNordic to share your insights on social media!

Best regards,

Sean Roberts Angela VelkovaVice President, EMEA Director of Communities and Strategic Relations, EMEAHIMSS HIMSS

Svensk Kunskapssession: Nära Vård Hälsoekosystem1:00 PM – 3:00 PM | OCCC, Room W331A

Open to all Nordic delegates.

Building Citizen-Centric Fair Data Ecosystems for Innovation in Europe 1:30 PM – 2:30 PM | OCCC, Room W230AAn increasing amount of health and wellbeing data are outside of traditional registers and systems just waiting to be utilized to it’s full extent. Enriching registers and electronic health record (EHR) data with unconventional data sources offers unforeseen potential for population health management, preventive care and precision medicine. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in the U.S. and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in Europe have given people new ways to exercise their rights and act upon the usage of their data. As privacy is valued more than ever, consent-based data sharing paves the way for digital services that are tailored for an individual’s preferences and life events. Sitra, the Finnish Innovation Fund, together with partners in multiple domains, is building the foundation for a fair and functioning data economy. Finland is already on the move with innovative trials providing unique examples of human-centricity and data-based well-being of tomorrow.SPEAKER:
