Upon arrival in Sydney we transfer to our hotel for check in. Day 2. Fri 5 May - Sydney - Norfolk Island - Night as a Convict Breakfast, Lunch In Flight & DinnerAfter an early breakfast we transfer to the Sydney International Airport aboard our Air New Zealand flight to Norfolk Island. Depart Sydney NZ 762 0940Arrive Norfolk Island Air New Zealand 1315Upon arrival we are transferred to our accommodation where we check in for the next 7 nights. Ahead of us is a wonderful week of Norfolk Island hospitality enjoying dinner every night and full hot breakfasts every day. Morning and afternoon teas are included on tours. This afternoon we are greeted with a welcome drink at our hotel as our hosts let us know everything about the resort.5.45pm – Night as a ConvictTonight it is time to don our convict uniforms (supplied) as we are transported back in time to experience what it was like as a convict. Well, not really, the night is filled with songs and dancing as we feast our way through a wonderful 3 course meal. Overnight: Paradise Hotel & Resort

Day 3. Continued.9.00am – “Discover our World” Orientation TourThis morning it is our chance to discover this wonderful Island. Our guide will explain all of the Island’s history from Polynesian settlements many years ago to how life is today on Norfolk Island. This morning we cover most of the Island and learn how it was like in the first settlement, penal times in Norfolk Island and the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders, descendants of the famous Mutiny on the Bounty. We visit Kingston, Cascade, Anson Bay and the wonderful Melanesian Mission church.1.00pm - WildwoodDarren Bates is a local wood turner and owner of Wildwood a business specializing in the use of Norfolk Island pine. He makes clocks, bowls, ornaments and much more. 5.00pm – Progressive Dinner to Island HomesTonight we are collected from our resort to experience a wonderful night together where we visit 3 Norfolk Island homes having a course at each one as we meet the owners of the homes that tell us of the history, when it was built and who lived in it. This is truly a magical night filled with so many great Norfolk Island people and great stories, history and heritage.Overnight: Paradise Hotel & Resort

Day 4. Sun 7 May - Church Service - Local Markets - Glass Bottom Boat - Fish Feast Breakfast & Dinner 7.30am – Full Buffet Breakfast - Enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the resort.8.30am – Church Service (Optional Sunday Markets)This morning for those who want to attend the local church service at the Melanesian Mission there are transfers avail-able. After the church service we can transfer to the local markets or back to the resort. For those of us that do not want to attend Church we are transferred directly to the markets. At the local markets we find many examples of local Norfolk Island handicraft.2.00pm - Christians Glass Boat (Note: Tour Subject to tides)This afternoon we discover life under the water with a Glass Bottom Boat cruise through the calm waters within the reef. See exotic colourful fish in one of the world’s most southern coral reefs.4.45pm – Cliff Top Sunset Fish FeastThis evening we enjoy one of Norfolk Island’s most famous dinners - the Cliff Top Sunset Fish Fry. We are transferred to a scenic location on the Island where we enjoy local entertainment. There is also the famous fish, plenty of unique island dishes, salads and of course, desert. As we enjoy our dinner and entertainment we see the sun set looking back over the Pacific Ocean towards Australia. The Fish Fry is something that we will remember for a long time. Day 5. Mon 8 May - Colleen McCullough - Convict Tour - Sound & Light Show Breakfast, M/Tea, A/Tea & Dinner 7.30am – Full Buffet Breakfast - Enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the resort.9.30am – Colleen McCullough Home & Garden TourThis morning we enjoy something pretty special as we visit world renowned author Colleen McCullough’s home and garden. Her first of 24 novels “Tim” inspired a movie and actor Mel Gibson played the main role. Her second novel, The Thorn Birds has never been out of print and has sold more than 30 million copies worldwide. It has been translated into more than 20 languages. The world renowned author made Norfolk Island home in 1979 and lived on Norfolk Island until her passing in 2015. Colleen created an amazing majestic home on Norfolk Island with her husband Ric Robinson. Ric and Colleen’s home was never open to the public until her passing. This is an exclusive guided tour to the author’s magnificent property. You will be escorted through Ric and Colleen’s home and view some of their priceless collections from around the world. 1:00pm - Historic Convict tourThis morning we learn all about Norfolk Island’s convict past. We are taken through the ruins of Old Gaol, Hospital and other areas in historic Kingston. We are also taken through the homes on Quality Row that have so many stories to tell. One of the weeks highlights is when our guide takes us through the Norfolk Island Cemetery. We learn so much about the people who once inhabited Norfolk Island and now rest there forever.5.00pm - Pre Dinner Drinks and DinnerThis evening we meet in the bar for some pre dinner drinks before we enjoy dinner at the resort.7.15pm - Sound & Light ShowTonight after dinner we are transferred to the Island Sound & Light Show. Nightfall at Kingston brings a different mood to the convict settlement. The stillness and the stars are there just as they were before mankind arrived in 1788. However, with dramatic use of real life sounds together with theatrical lighting and costumed actors, the stillness is broken as Pinetree tours takes you through the horrifying decades of Norfolk Island’s convict era. Later we return back to the Hotel for the rest of the evening.Overnight: Paradise Hotel & Resort

Day 6. Tue 9 May - Cyclorama - High Tea Breakfast, High Tea & BBQ Dinner 7.30am – Full Buffet Breakfast - Enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the resort.9.00am - Visit to CycloramaThe amazing Cyclorama is a multi award winning Norfolk Island attraction. Cyclorama is an amazing 360 degree mural that covers the journey of the Bounty from England, Tahiti, Pitcairn Island and Norfolk Island. It is an experience not to be missed.

Day 6. Continued.1.30pm – Norfolk Island High TeaThis afternoon we are in for a truly memorable experience. We are transferred to one of the Island’s most prestigious homes where we enjoy high tea for the afternoon. We start with a glass of bubbles on arrival and then leisurely make our way through the menu. We are then treated to a wide selection of Teas as we enjoy the exclusive ambience of this magnificent property whilst listening to poetry read by a local. Late afternoon we are transferred back to our resort.6.00pm – Family style BBQ Dinner and DrinksOvernight: Paradise Hotel & Resort

Day 7. Wed 10 May - 4WD Tour - Indulgence Tour - Mutiny on the Bounty Show Breakfast, M/Tea, A/Tea & Dinner7.30am – Full Buffet Breakfast - Enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the resort.9.00am - Christian’s 4WD TourThis morning we enjoy an exciting 3hr ‘back of beyond’ tour featuring spectacular scenery, native flora & bird life. Including homemade cakes with tea & coffee.1.00pm – Indulgence Tour – Cheese & Wine - Liqueurs – ChocolateThis afternoon we enjoy the indulgence tour. First stop is Christian Brothers Cheese Company, a boutique dairy and cheese producer started by two island brothers. Here we tour through the local farm boasting beautiful ocean views and sample the range of cheeses with tasty condiments and wine. Next stop is the local Liqueur and Soft Drink factory. Here Brad tells us of the history of the factory and of course we are free to sample the many varieties of Norfolk Island Liqueurs. Our last stop is “Sweeties”, the local Norfolk Island choco-late shop where chocolate is made on site. We are free to browse the shop and purchase the local product that we can take home with us.5.00pm - Pre Dinner Drinks and DinnerThis evening we meet in the bar for some pre dinner drinks before we enjoy dinner at the resort.7.30pm - Mutiny on the Bounty ShowSee descendants of the mutineers bring the story of the famed ‘Mutiny on the Bounty’ and historic events to life in a 90 minute show performed in an outdoor amphitheatre on Norfolk’s western coastline.Overnight: Paradise Hotel & Resort

Day 8. Thu 11 May - Breakfast Bush walk - History in the Making - Traditional Dinner Breakfast, A/Tea & Dinner7.00am – Breakfast Bush walk We rise a little earlier today to enjoy a wonderful bush walk that starts in the National Park and ends at the Captain Cook Memorial. This is a highlight for the photographers as some of the views at the Captain Cook Memorial are just stunning. This memorial is where Captain Cook first landed in 1774. After we reach the memorial we enjoy the beautiful ocean views while enjoying our full cooked breakfast.1.00pm - History in the MakingThis afternoon we enjoy a comprehensive history tour of Norfolk’s 4 settlements. We experience first hand Stone cutting, shingle splitting, timber cutting and cloth & rope making. We then visit 200 Year old work sites and see where produce gardens once thrived, processing mills and more!6.00pm - Traditional Island DinerTonight we enjoy a Traditional Island Dinner of local meats and fresh seasonal produce plus a traditional dessert. Red & White wine & Juice provided. Cooked & Prepared by a Bounty descendent who will explain the dishes and their history. Day 9. Fri 12 May - Norfolk Island - Sydney Breakfast, In Flight Meal & Dinner7.30am – Full Buffet Breakfast - Enjoy a wonderful hot breakfast at the resort.Free MorningWell sadly this is our last day in Norfolk Island. This morning we have time for any last minute shopping or a trip to the liquor bond to take advantage of the great duty free deals on offer. Just after Lunch we are transferred to the airport where we check in for our flight to Sydney.Depart Norfolk Island NZ 763 1425Arrive Sydney Air New Zealand 1620Upon arrival into Sydney we clear immigration and transfer to our the hotel for check in & dinner. Overnight: Holiday Inn Sydney Airport

Day 10. Sat 13 May: Sydney - Launceston Breakfast After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight back to Launceston. Depart Sydney VA1090 at 12.15pm - Arrive Launceston at 2.05pmOnce we arrive back into Launceston we are transferred to our pre arranged drop off points after our delightful time away with McDermott`s Coaches.
