LW CC Pipe Cutting & Beveling Machine

Normaco LW CC – Portable Splitframe machines for pipe cold cutting and beveling for pipes from 2" to 48".

Extremely strong and reliable clamshell type ma-chine that is easily portable. LW CC features split frame design that makes it quick to mount on in-line pipes. It has been developed for the de-manding Norwegian offshore market where the machines have been running for over 20 years.

Normaco LW Cold Cutter can be supplied either with pneumatic, hydraulic or electric drive. All motors are designed to power the machine effi-ciently, smoothly and with high torque.

Due to the low machining speed and pneumatic motor, cutting is done as “cold-work” without sparking. Additionally, there remains no heat affected zone on the cutting area.

LW CC has excellent stability and performance even when cutting materials such as Inconel, stainless, and other high-alloy steels. There is vir-tually no limit on the thickness of the pipe.

Servo Drive

Normaco Servo Drives offer great combination of portability, ease of connectivity and performance. Servo motors power the pipe cutting machine with constant torque thru the entire rpm range. And they do so silently increasing the user com-fort.

Electric Drive

Simple and cost effective electric drive utilizes a drill motor. Suitable for small machines and sim-ple cutting operations.

Air Drives

Equipped with the best pneumatic motors in the world, the Normaco Air drives provide reliable and impressive machining performance.

Pneumatic drives are perfect for working on site , especially in environments that require spark-free “cold work”.

The Air Drives are designed to give the LW CC´s constant speed thru out the range.

Toolholders

Normaco LW CC is equipped with quick clamping tool holders that make it possible to mount and adjust the tool holder position easily and quickly.

Locating pins make the positioning accurate and fast, while marking on the top provide visual guid-ance.

Tool mounting is designed to be flexible and in the tool holder it is possible to use various tools. A fea-ture that is handy at a jobsite. Even most tooling manufactured by other suppliers can be used.

Tool holders come as standard in four different lengths. Tool holders are chosen based on required cutting depth and radial space around the pipe.

We have several special toolholders for specific

problems, such as bevelling out-of-round pipes or

cutting in limited space. Refer to the list of accesso-

ries.

Clamping Locators

Each machine is equipped with locator feet for the specified range. Dedicated feet for each pipe size with solid construction bring superior stability compared to telescopic or stackable clamping so-lutions.

LW CC has from 4 to 12 locator feet, depending on the model.

The locators are adjusted from the out side of the machine with a hex key. Each locator is adjusted individually, a method that provides best clamping and centering on pipes that are less than perfect.

Locator Pads

Sometimes additional pads are needed to reduce the surface pressure of the clamping, or to provide that little bit extra reach when pipe is not accord-ing to the pipe schedule. Set of 1/2” extension pads are included as standard to the LW CC .
