Help for Injured Soldiers in the Middle East
One of our Elders, Bob Hammond is deployed to the Middle East, working with soldiers who are

Below is a list of art supplies that can help many of our Military personnel. Would you please
consider purchasing some of these items? A donation box for the supplies will be in the Fellowship

The Elders would like to thank Pat Ables and Jan Brooks for
partnering with us and agreeing to take the lead on organizing
NECC’s 175th anniversary dinner and events. In an effort to get
people excited about NECC’s 175 years, Jan has been posting interesting facts about our
history on NECC’s Facebook page, and both Pat and Jan designed the 175th Anniversary
T-Shirt that we proudly wore while working at the Lorain County Fair booth. Look for

SECRET SISTERS REVEAL
The Secret Sisters hosted a Hawaiian Reveal Luncheon on Sunday, June 24. The luncheon
consisted of Hawaiian sandwiches, pineapple upside down cake, and was topped off with
an ice cream social.
Continuing with the theme, everyone joined in a Hula Hoop relay game. Each team held
hands in front and behind to create a chain. Each person had to step through the hoop and
pass it to the next person without breaking hands. The game created a few comical hang-
ups and obstacles such as getting hooked on jewelry or clothing as well as varying heights
or even someone sitting in a chair! Each team worked together and overcame all of the ob-
stacles to make it fun and challenging and actually demonstrated real life. After the game,
the ladies discussed the importance of teamwork within the church and staying focused on
Jesus while working together. The importance of being helpful, cooperative, and offering
forgiveness of one another’s shortcomings makes our lives better and helps the group as a
whole.
Thank you to all who participated in Secret Sisters, volunteered to share a lesson, and who
brought food to the Reveal Luncheon. You are loved and are important!
