Reminders for Parents
If you have a child in years 4, 5 or 6, please remember that if you would
like to see your child’s class teacher, you should come to the office to
make an appointment rather than coming straight into school.
A new menu is available from the office for this half term.
Please remember that we are a healthy school and no cereal bars, choco-
late bars or sweets should be put in lunch boxes. Children are allowed to
bring in fruit for snack, or buy this from the tuck shop in the upper
school.
A copy of the newsletter is also available in the office lobby and on our
website: www.northlandsprimary.essex.sch.uk
Parents and Carers wishing to give their views to Ofsted should contact

All children will be taking part in ‘Jump Rope for Heart’ over the next few weeks, to raise money for the British Heart Foun-
dation. Please keep a look out for the sponsor forms to support this worthy cause.
Message from Mrs Young Welcome back everyone to a new half term—a very busy one leading up to Christmas. This year for Children in Need
(Friday 13th) we are having a ‘Onesies to Work’ day. Children can wear onesies to school and make a £1 contribution to
Children in Need.
We are looking to recruit relief midday assistants. If you think this is something you would be interested in then please
pick up an application form from the main school office. All applicants will have to undergo a DBS (police) check and suc-
cessfully complete all health & safeguarding checks. The work will be on a basis of ‘as and when needed’ and so will not
provide regular hours.
There will be a new ‘Walking Home’ policy for the winter months which will be in place from the week beginning 16th No-
vember. From this date, all children including year 6 will have to be collected by a responsible adult or person over the
age of 14 after clubs. This is to ensure that all children are safe during the shorter days at this time of year.
Online Safety Tips
Keep safe by not giving out personal information when you’re chatting or
posting online. Personal information includes your email address, phone
number & password.
The Friends of Northlands School (FONS) are busy organis-
ing the Christmas bazaar. If you are able to donate any
chocolate bars for the chocolate tombola or
bottles of drink for the hoopla stall, it would
be very much appreciated. Please send these
in to your child’s class. Football Results
