The existing roads at Northshore were originally built to service the area’s industrial uses and are no longer suitable for the up and coming residential, commercial and retail uses.
EDQ is undertaking a $24 million road upgrade project which will see Harbour Road, Hercules Road, Remora Road and MacArthur Avenue upgraded to include four-lane, sub arterial roads with upgraded footpaths, cycle tracks, street lighting, two new signalised intersections, road resurfacing and boulevard planting.
Recently, EDQ finalised the position of the bus stops with Brisbane City Council. A new diagram (below) is now available, showing the position of the bus stops, road markings, car parks, cycle tracks and pedestrian paths and landscaping.
Brisbane City Council is yet to advise on what parking hours for on-street car parks around Northshore will be (previously 2-4 hour restrictions in some areas). EDQ will communicate this once it is known.
