OUTREACH || FALL 2013

Winter Youth Basketball League Registration is now open. The league is for boys and girls. Evaluations for new players need to scheduled with Doug Jones, ASAP. Registration forms are available at www.enorthside.org. Returning players do not need to be evaluated. Practices will be held one night a week beginning in November. The season consists of 10 games starting in January. The fee for the league is $50, which includes the uniform. We will be looking for volunteers to coach, referee, keep score, work concessions, and offer halftime testimonies.

Operation Christmas Child Gift Ideas (Don’t limit yourself: These are just a starting point!)

Toys: Small cars, balls, dolls, stuffed animals, kazoos, harmonicas, yo-yos, jump ropes, small Etch A Sketch, toys that

light up or make noise (with extra batteries), Slinky, etc.School Supplies: Pens, pencils and sharpener, crayons or markers, stamps and ink pads, writing pads or paper, solar calculator, coloring and picture books, etc. Hygiene items: Toothbrush, toothpaste, brush cover, mild bar soap (in a plastic bag), comb, hairbrush, washcloth, etc. Other: Hard candy or lollipops (double bag all candy), mints, gum, t-shirts, socks, ball caps, sunglasses, hair clips, toy jewelry, watches, flashlight with batteries, backpack or bag.DO NOT INCLUDE: Used or damaged items, war-related items such as toy guns, knives and military figures; chocolate or food; liquids or lotions; medications or vitamins; breakable items such as snow globes or glass containers; aerosol cans.
