Summary
SymptomYou create a service entry sheet via ML81 or via ML81N and select theservices from the purchase order. In the Customizing of the service, theindicator "required entry" is selected in the screen layout for the entryof services for the field "quantity".Although the quantity could be determined from the purchase order servingas a basis, the quantity field is empty and the system demands an entry inthe quantity field.Error 00055: 'Make an entry in all required fields'.From inevitable technical reasons, this system response cannot be changed.

Reason and PrerequisitesThe required entry field check has priority over all other program parts -also over the calculation of the still outstanding quantity during theentry of services performed.
SolutionSAP recommends to waive a mandatory status for the service quantity in theservice entry sheet as otherwise, the calculation of quantities from thepurchase order is not carried out.
