Kyle Bucholz ’11. Rev. Bucholz started his appointment as associate pastor of Clarkston United Methodist Church (Mich.) in July. He and wife, Lauren Dennis-Bucholz ’12 both graduated with master’s of divinity degrees from the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. His sermon is from James 3:13-4:3, 7-8a entitled “Bulldog Wisdom.” Featuring the AC Choir directed by Dr. Thomas Hodgman, professor of music, and hosted by AC Chaplain, the Rev. Dr. Christopher Momany ‘84. After the service, get acquainted with the Bucholzes and AC students. CHOIR ALUMNI are invited to join the AC Choir this year. Annual Alumni Art Exhibition Shipman Library, Nicolay Heritage Room (within library, north side) Featuring the work of Kristina Martin ’12 of Onsted, Mich. As a non-traditional student at Adrian College, Kristina earned her BFA in Studio Art and then her MFA from Kendall College of Art and Design. Ceramics & Metals Exhibition Shipman Library, Valade Gallery (off foyer) The exhibit features work by professional artists Rimas VisGirda and Billie Jean Theide. VisGirda is a Lithuanian-born American ceramist and teacher. He earned both a BA in physics and an MA in art from California State University, Sacramento; and an MFA from Washington State University. Theide is a professor in the School of Art & Design for the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, well-known for her work in metals. She earned a BFA from Drake University (Iowa), an MFA from Indiana University Bloomington, and is a member of the Society of North American Goldsmiths. (Exhibit through Sept. 20.)
