NOTES FROM HERLAND Herland will host a pizza and movie night on April 18 at 7 :30 PM. When Night is Falling will be shown alongwitha short video, One Fine Day. Come join the fun, have some pizza and watch a movie! A $4.00 donation is requested. It's time for Spring cleanup time at Herland. On April 26, we'll be planting flowers and working in the yard as well as doing some general fix-up and cleaning in and around the building. Come join the fun starting with a potluck lunch at noon or drop by any time during the afternoon. Our heartfelt gratitude goes to Jean's Plumbing for donating much needed plumbing services at Herland. Remember, support those who support our community. This year they released their fifth album, Heyond Prescrip- tion, featuringjazz, blues, funk, and folk tunes, some of which are base_d on outrageous news stories. The Therapy Sisters aim to inspire you to laugh and think about the age "' e live in, and to remember that if you're not part of the problem, you're not part of the family. WRITERS WANTED -Needed: poets, reviewers, playwrights, novelists, journal­

ists, essayists -- or anyone with a desire to write down some ideas. For April and May, a group will meet at Herland on Tuesday

evenings between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. If you waritto do some writing or read what you have already been working on, please join us.

Bring a blanket, a rug, a pillow, a candle with holder, a mirror, some choclate, snacks, colored makrers, sketch paper, and/or whatever will help get writing started-- of course, include paper and pencils or pens. Cl

LGBA CONCERT The Lesbian and Gay Bands of America will hold their spring

conference in Oklahoma City on April 23 -26. The combined band will present a concert at 7: 30 P .M. on Saturday, April 25 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 5200 N. Brookline, OKC.

2. Long-awaited solo album from Mary Reynolds. Sunday April 5, the wait is over Mary Reynolds, four-time

winner of the Gazette Music Awards Best Female Vocalist, will celebrate the release of her first full length ~olo recording ai Medinas with guest performers including Elys.e Angelo, Louise Goldberg and Emily Kaitz.

The CD includes Mary's greatest hit "Weller's Whiskey" as well as songs from Emily Kaitz, Ilene Wiess, and Komander Kody. The eclectic mix of songs and styles reflect the many moods of Mary and her voice.

A second metro release party will be held at Pipers in Norman, Thursday April 9. Mary will start at 8pm and take a long break to sign CDs and chat. Pipers is located inside Telepath Internet at 361h and Main. Cl

ORIGINAL BLESSING A four week study of the book, Original Blessing by

Matthew Fox will be sponsored by the Church of the Open Arms as a means to personal growth and ennchment.

Kathy McCallie, pastor of Church of the Open Arms is the facilitator. The group will meet Tuesday evenings, April 14 -- May 5 at 7:00 -- 8:30 in the fellowsttip hall of Mayflower Congregational Church building at 3901NW63rd.
