Tim’s Thoughts Message Series: Family Ties
Today’s Message: Family Remodeled
Each one of us grew up in an imperfect
home. Some of us have built imperfect
families. However, the wrong routines and
occasions of our past do not have to
determine our future. We can build homes
that are healthy and we can experience
relationships that are healthy through God's
grace and the power of His Holy Spirit and
the direction of His word. Today, we will see
how the failures of our past can be overcome
so that our homes bring us peace and bring
God glory.

Rebuild the Walls
For the next few weeks you will be hearing a lot about
our corporate effort as a church to make significant repairs and
improvements to our campus. This effort reflects our desire to
be good stewards over the facilities and property God has
given us to use for His ministry here in the North Nashville
area. Parts of this campus are one hundred and ten years old.
The “new” sanctuary is nearly forty years old. Our regular
ministry budget has not allowed for the repairs and remodeling
needed to keep our campus efficient and stable, let alone fresh
and inviting. In order to reach our ministry goals we must
make the following improvements to our campus. In order to
assure that the next generation has a place to worship, we must
do our best to make these important repairs. You will hear
details about the following list in the next few days. Here is a
list of projects identified:
•New commercial kitchen in Activity Building
•Sanctuary sound, lighting and media
•Sanctuary and foyer improvements
•Continued upgrades to our HVAC system
•Expansion and resurfacing of our parking lot
•Sealing of the block walls of the Activity Building
•Stabilization and restoration of our old sanctuary/youth
ministry suite
•Exterior wood replaced with hardy board and vinyl
•Landscaping of campus
•Church media sign
•Church van
•Remove condemned house and garage
•Institute a security system by key card and add two
cameras for the parking lot
Over the past few months perhaps you have noticed a number
of exciting improvements which were made at a minimum
cost. We rejoice over those who have made it possible. These
next steps will require significant generosity on the part of
GCPC’s people.
Our Commitment Sunday is April 1st. At that time we will
have a corporate meal after worship and give you the
opportunity to give an initial gift and/or to make a three-year
pledge to this project. Please seek God as you consider your
part in this important step in the life of GCPC.
Mark your calendars for June 17-21, 2012!
