KIDS & STUDENTS

The Lord’s SupperAt St. John we believe God gives us Holy Communion for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26–28) and the deepening of our relationship with Him and also each other. All who share in our profession of the Christian faith are encouraged to partake in Holy Communion provided they:

• have received Christian Baptism (Acts 2:36–38),• recognize and confess their sinfulness (Proverbs 28:13; 1 John 1:8–9),• forgive others (Matthew 5:21–24; Matthew 6:12) and• believe the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ are truly

present, offered under forms of bread and wine (1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:27–29).

For questions about Communion or for parents of children wishing to receive Holy Communion (who have not yet received Lord’s Supper instruction), please speak with a pastor after the service. You may also go to stjstl.net/communion for further study.

Note: Non-alcoholic wine is offered in the blue section of the communion trays and gluten-free wafers are also available at all communion stations for those with special needs.

Prayer Partners are available after each service at the front of the Sanctuary. Please feel free to approach our pastors or a member of the worship team. They'll be humbled to pray with you.

NEXTThe 3 Overarching Goals of NEXT:

Pursue People Like Never BeforeMobilize the Next Generation of World ChangersTake Our Campus to the Next Level

By creating inviting and updated spaces, we will better communicate who we are through our very grounds and architecture. We will also foster a greater desire to linger and share life with one another.

AS A CHURCH, WE WILL:Beautify our exterior campus by designing inviting green spaces with outdoor areas for gathering and by providing clear visual cues directing our guests to the main entry areas for the Sanctuary, The Commons, and our Children’s Ministry area.

Renovate The Commons to foster a greater sense of community. Stop-ping to share a cup of coffee, spending time in prayer with one another, and simply sharing life together are essential values to our DNA at St. John. New guests will experience community at St. John as soon as they step into our buildings.

Create an engaging and welcoming entrance to Children’s Ministry from The Commons, distinguishing it as the key entry point to Chil-dren’s Ministry and establishing a sense of excitement for our youngest as they begin their LIFEjourney.

Protect our most vulnerable by limiting access to our Children’s Min-istry spaces to only parents and children and creating a single drop-off and pick-up for Nursery-aged children. Enhanced security will allow parents to worship with a sense of peace and to grow in their LIFEjour-ney.

Update the interior of our Sanctuary so the environment compliments the worship experience by improving the sound system and moderniz-ing our space while maintaining an air of the sacred.
