The initial stage of blasting has begun and is scheduled to continue until late September 2017. All blasts will be monitored with blasting seismographs to record ground vibrations and sound volume. Work will typically take place from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Saturday and will adhere to the City of Nanaimo Noise Control Bylaw 4750. Additional blasting is scheduled for the spring of 2018.
