Public Comments on Draft St. Lucian National Standards
THE public is invited to comment on the following draft standards being proposed for adoption as Saint Lucia National Standards:
• DNS 1 -2 Labelling of Commodities - Part 2 Labelling Of Prepackaged Goods Specification. (CRS 66: 2016, MOD)
Scope:
This standard sets out requirements for the information to be included on labels of goods prepackaged for sale, the method of display of such information, and where necessary, the wording and units of measurements to be used. This standard does not apply to the following:
a) goods that are sold unpackaged, or in an open or uncovered package;
b) goods that are weighed or measured in or counted into the package in the presence of the purchaser, or weighed, measured or counted in the presence of the purchaser before being packaged;
c) goods in packages not intended for retail sale;
d) goods or classes of goods where different or additional information is prescribed by any Saint Lucia standard or model regulations approved by the competent authority;
• DNS 22 - 3 Tourism Accommodotion Part 3 Guest House – Requirements (CRS 11-3:2017, IDT)
Scope:
This standard specifies them minimum requirements for any guesthouse, operating in Saint Lucia, which provides accommodation to tourists. It establishes requirements for:
a) physical and personnel issues;
b) guest facilities;
c) public and private areas; and
d) health and safety.
• DNS/ISO 31000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines (ISO 31000: 2009, IDT)
Scope:
This national standard provides principles and generic guidelines on risk management. This national standard can be used by any public, private or community enterprise, association, group or individual. Therefore, this national standard is not specific to any industry or sector. NOTE For convenience, all the different users of this national standard are referred to by the general term “organization”.
• DNS ISO 20700: 2017 Management Consultancy Guidelines (ISO 20700:2017, IDT)
Scope:
This document provides guidelines for the effective delivery of management consultancy services.
NOTE Refer to Annex A for supplementary information on ISO standards.
• DNS IEC 61558-1 Safety of Power Transformers Part 1 General requirements (IEC 61558-1:2005+A1:2009, IDT)
Scope: This International Standard deals with safety aspects of power transformers, power supplies, reactors and similar products such as electrical, thermal and mechanical safety.
• DNS IEC 61558-2-13 Safety of Power Transformers Part 2-13 (IEC 61558 – 2 - 13: 2009, IDT)
Scope:
This part of IEC 61558 deals with the safety of auto transformers for general applications and power supply units incorporating auto transformers for general applications. Transformers incorporating electronic circuits are also covered by this standard.
