Navigating by the sun, stars, wind and currents, ancient Polynesian mariners ventured to the farthest reaches of the South Pacific, establishing the intriguing cultures that later fascinated Captain Cook. Our cruise aboard the luxury vessel, the Paul Gauguin, allows us to survey the cultural and natural wonders of French Polynesia’s different island chains. Stop at Tahiti, forever immortalized in 19th-century paintings and 20th-century novels and still a place of romance and astonishing beauty. Visit other Society Islands, with their soaring volcanic peaks and deep valleys, and the Tuamotus, the largest chain of atolls in the world. Our itinerary promises dramatic scenery, multicolored lagoons, valleys abloom with hibiscus and some of the most idyllic beaches anywhere. Magical, mystical, enchanting—the islands of French Polynesia await. I hope you can join us.

HighlightsV I S I T a black pearl farm on Rangiroa, largest atoll in the Tuamotus and locale of the second-largest lagoon in the world.

S P E N D a magical day on the beaches and trails of Taha’a, and visit a private island that’s a veritable snorkeling paradise.
