The timeframe for this report is 10/01/18 – 10/31/18 (1944) Incidents were handled by Officers (71) Selective Enforcements were conducted (10) Non -Traffic** arrests were made (210) Traffic Citations were issued (20) Parking Tickets were issued (75) Traffic Courtesy/ Warnings Notices were issued (277) Night Eyes/ Business checks/Directed Patrols were conducted (22) Criminal* Arrests were made

Monday, October 1, 2018 Regular Meeting Minutes

II. Old Business: a. Rocktoberfest Updates

i. Vendors – About 30-35 confirmed. ii. Food vendors - 4

iii. Car Show registrations – 50+ preregistered, more to come. iv. Moonbounces – confirmed. v. Entertainment status

vi. Demos – Karate and Dance – Public Works trailer confirmed. vii. Games/Activities

xi. Car Show Judges – 8 Notes: We currently have 35 vendors confirmed and a few additional expected to register. Unfortunately, we have not heard back from the one confirmed food truck CandyGirl and Kona Ice is no longer able to attend due to a family conflict. The car show currently has about 70 cars registered, with more expected to come in. We will continue until we have the max of 100. If we have open spaces available that day, we will accept them on a first come-first serve basis with an explanation that they will need to pre-register for the event moving forward. Ashley will discuss the paperwork and set up with Laura and Deb for the day of the event. The moonbounces, band, DJ, and activities have all been confirmed. Ashley is still coordinating with the karate and dance schools to schedule performance demos. The trophies were ordered and are scheduled to be completed Wednesday. We are still looking for volunteers for the scarecrow decorating station, but have found some people to assist. We have 12 judges confirmed for the car show. Ashley will send out the vendor email, car show email, and car show judge emails tomorrow with all updated information and details. If anyone has any desert vendors or food trucks they know may be interested in participating, please forward the information to Ashley asap.

III. New Business:

a. Rocktoberfest Layout Notes: George requested a few extra signs posted about NO DOGS and NO SMOKING.

b. Holiday Dinner – George Notes: Ashley explained the new request process for British Invasion. As we are to complete an offer form on their website, we can offer at $3,000 and see what they say. The band does typically play for $4000-$5000. Ashley requested that everyone think of a larger band we can reach out to as a backup in case we are not able to get British Invasion. Wayne suggested the Sofa Kings. Ashley will research some contact information for the group. George will start planning the annual dinner. He is looking at December 5th or December 6th as possible options. He will reach out to the restaurant and get back to the group.

During the month of October, the department as a whole, completed 8 hours of fire

prevention outreach to the local schools and community for fire prevention month. The

department also attended open houses at Hatfield Fire Company and at Montgomery

Township Fire Department. Through our FEMA SAFER grant, the department also

issued $5770.00 to its members for fire response and education for the third quarter.
