If you missed the meeting

because of the rain, you missed a

good one! What we lacked in

numbers, we more than made

up for in enthusiasm.

And, you missed a great demo by the very

personable Liz Kenyon. Thanks, Liz!

A special thanks to Beth Hyatt-Rapp for taking

my place at the previous meeting. And another

special thanks to Donna Levine, who will replace

Debra Torres as Vice- President in charge of

programs. Beth and Donna and Debra are some

of the people who make our League possible!

Be sure to check out your local art museums and

galleries and shows. You will be inspired, and, in

some cases, heartened!

And artists can always use inspiration and

heartening.

Now OPEN…Arizona Art Alliance Gallery at the Scottsdale Pavilions

Located at Indian Bend & the 101 (south side of Indian Bend, just east of Sports Authority). Open Wednesday

through Sunday.

The official Grand Opening of our Gallery was held the first weekend in October. It was a very well attended

and memorable event. Louise McCall was on hand to receive an Art Alliance Lifetime Achievement award for

her late husband, renowned aviation artist Robert McCall. Mr. McCall was a great friend and supporter of the AZ

Art Alliance, and generously provided the introduction to the Alliance’s publicity video.

Our silent auction at the artists’ reception raised more than $1000 to benefit the Alliance’s Outreach Programs.

Thank you to those artists who donated their work to be auctioned. We truly appreciate your generosity. Special

thanks also to the demo artists whose presence added so much to the weekend’s festivities. We appreciate your

participation and your support of the AZ Art Alliance.

AZ Art Alliance Holiday Show at the Art Alliance Gallery – December 3 – 24.

This Show is for AAA-Juried Artists.

Panel side/floor space rental: $50 each

Every participating artist will be required to work a minimum of 4 hours per panel side.

If you wish to participate & did not sign up for panels/floor space at the SAL meeting, please contact AAA Rep

Judy Delmonico at [email protected] or 480-990-1359. Panel sides/floor spaces are reserved on a 1st

paid, 1st served basis. In the event that we have more interested artists than we have space, we would have to cut

from the back of the line of paid artists. Checks should be made payable to Scottsdale Artists League. The

November SAL meeting is the deadline to pay your panel side/floor space rental fee…..or mail payment to

arrive prior to the November meeting to Judy (address in SAL directory).
