A big thank you to Mrs. Franks and everyone who helped make the fifth annual Pumpkinfest a super fun event for our families. It is turning into a wonderful tradition and such a great kick off for Halloween. I wasn't able to make it this year, but after carving my pumpkins with my kids, I wish we could have gone, for the clean-up factor alone!! I really hope those of you who went had a wonderful time, and thanks again to all those who helped make it a success!! This was my first official month as President and I want to thank you all for making me feel welcome. A special thanks goes to my Executive, for helping me out when need be and for putting up with all my questions. I am really enjoying my new role and I am looking forward to getting to know all of you a bit better. A reminder to all that when your child(ren) will be missing class, please call the school and leave a message for the teachers to let them know your child will not be in that day. We ask that you tell us the reason (i.e. Dentist appointment, feeling sick, etc). If the reason is that your child is sick, please give a description of the symptoms your child is experiencing (i.e. temperature, cough, running nose, respiratory distress). This allows Mrs. Franks to keep a close account of possible flu outbreaks at the school. Please also make sure to make a careful note of your duty responsibilities and days…this is particularly important as we will be having a Ministry visit in the next month or so in connection with our Licence renewal and it is imperative that we are all where we are supposed to be and doing what needs to be done. At this point you have all received your November Scholastic Order forms in your mailboxes…I’ve been busy scouring over them as we have a Christmas tradition where Santa sends us a Christmas book the week before Christmas for us to enjoy. November will be another busy month getting ready for the Ministry visit and loads of great activities…if you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us! Teachers’ CornerSuperstarsWe’ve done it! No more tears! Well, mostly.

The children have all settled in quitenicely to the routines and that in itselfhas been a huge learning experience for

them. We have enjoyed watching theirpersonalities unfold as they become morecomfortable in their school environment.

We had some learning opportunities withThanksgiving, thanking the farmers for all thegreat food they provide for us. The fall season andall the wonders it has to offer as well as someHallowe’en fun. We will continue BUILDING onthese experiences in the month of November.

It's hard to believe that Septemberand October have come and gone.Routines are slowly becoming a partof our daily activity. The kids allseem to enjoy knowing what's goingto happen next and they can do thisby what our daily routine is.

After morning circle the kids know it is time forcrafts and imagination station. After we do oursing song in the coat room it's time for morningsnack (and they can't wait for this time.). I cannotget over what a amazing bunch of eaters wehave in kids club.

A big thank you to all of the kids Clubbers whohave sent in there decorated scrap book. I amstill waiting for a few (you know who you are). Assoon as you get the decorated please send themin as I am starting to fill them and they arelooking good.

Also for any kids club family who did not receivean All about my Family page in their scrapbookplease let me know and I can get you one. Wehave the ones that have been returned hangingthrough the the halls in the preschool the kidslove to look at their family photo and remind uswhat their family likes to work together doing.

Word Detectives/Printworks

In order to get all set for Christmas,

each child is asked to bring in 5

addresses so that we may send out

Christmas cards!

The kids have all been having a great time in the

Imagination station; this past month we had a lot

of great camp outs. And now, we are having so

much fun with construction. A big thank you

goes out to all the parents who have taken the

time to set up these imaginative scenarios.

The Parent Handbook will be available the

second week of November. You will all be

receiving an electronic copy for you to read. A

signoff sheet will be available at the school to

note that you have received this information.

Green Fun! In an effort to reduce our environmental

footprint, we have been creating impermanent art with

tree stumps and other natural objects. These make

fantastic canvases which can be wiped clean and

reused infinitely!
