In this review, I will talk about “Call Of Duty: Black Ops.” This first person action shooter is rated M for mature. I would say on a scale of one to ten, this is an 8. The thing I liked is the Crossbow; the crossbow shoots arrows that explode which I think is AWESOME!! But some of the stuff just didn’t seem realistic. For example, the wind should have carried the sniper bullet the way it was blowing but it didn’t. Also, the blood affects were too cartoonish. However, the weapons were good and the Tomahawk is so cool because it’s an axe you can throw. The Campaign is probably the best part. The storyline is so cool and bloody and breathtaking it will leave you speechless. Well I don’t want to ruin it for people who haven’t played it yet, so that’s it for this game review. In an ongoing series we will present a review of video games new and old. The storyline is so cool and bloody and breathtaking it will leave you speechless. Well I don’t want to ruin it for people who haven’t played it yet, so that’s it for this game review. A Smile There’s something you may

Provide free emergency goods and life-changing services year round.

The event will start about 70 yards West of the entrance to Sac State. The Timed 10K begins at 8:30 and the Timed 5K at 9 following the 5K Run/Walk that includes all joggers, and baby strollers. Party LinesBy Patch Murphy

Party Lines. Most of you have never heard of them, but back in the 1920s they made up over 40% of the

telephone lines in Calafornia. But, what is a Partly Line? Wikipedia

defines a party line as: “…a party line… …is an

arrangement in which two or more customers are connected directly to the same local loop. Prior to World War II… …{They} were the primary way… {People recived} local phone

service.” But a party line is also a number that people call and are connected to one another. In Rio Vista this service was a large part of the comminity, Particularly in the 70s. Today few services remian. Most Party Lines have been replaced by Aliance systems

(A dial-in party line). There are still services out there like, Talkee.com and Freeconcall.com, Talkee is a Party Line service that also offers things like Message boards and Voicemail, While Con Call Offers party line and confranceing for free (Plus Long distance). These services still exist and are

very interesting. Currently, 712-432-3524,

Extention 244, is a chat set up for Rio Vista’s Teens (Attention: Long distance charges apply).

Jennifer replied, “It was my pleasure.” Then she asked “Need anything else?”

Draco answered, “Yes, I have another favor to ask you.”Jennifer asked curiously, “What is it?” “I need you to take out the Earth Nation before they grow too big.” Jennifer then said, “Why should I do this and what’s in it for me?” Draco replied “That isn’t the only nation I want you to destroy. My

soldiers have been in war with the Fire Nation and I have been sending troops to destroy both sides. Also they are both weak, very weak, and will collapse at any moment…so if I send you in there, will you kill off the troops so my soldiers can kill off their nation?”

Jennifer replied angrily, “What is in it for me, Draco?” Draco coaxed, “It will be a reward that you will find interesting if you

do this for me…. A good one.”Jennifer said “Fine but it better be worth it!”Draco thought to himself, “When she returns she must be killed before

she turns on me…When the war is over!”Unaware of what was happening Jennier replied, “When do I attack,

Draco?” Draco replied, “Tomorrow at noon ok?” The day had passed by and it was now noon. Jennifer and Draco had

met up and disscussed battle plans. Ater the plans were discussed Jennifer had left to the battlefield with the same plan as the last war, with all the same men and women. They dropped into battle from the helicopters that flew and Jennifer screamed, “Attack the left flank first!!!”

All the soldiers from the Water Nation abandoned their post and killed off the Fire nation; first taking down their leader Blaziken, and then destroying their town within minutes. There was only one survivor, Blaze the son of the mighty Blaziken. The Earth nation rejoiced because they thought that the Water nation had came to help them win the war but they were wrong. The Water nation was there to destroy them, but that’s when Jennifer realized the horrible truth. If she continued to engage in battle and destroy the Earth Nation she would be corrupted and turn into a monster! She commanded her troops to retreat to the Water Nation and they obeyed. Once there she met with Draco. “Why would you want me to destroy those inoccent people?” she demanded.

“You didn’t obey my orders and you know what the cost for that is, Jennifer?” he replied in a dark tone as if he was going to do something.

Jennifer backed up and looked at Draco puzzled and then concentrated. She thought at first, “He is going to do something very bad…I wonder what it is….I will see for myself.”

Draco pulled out a sword and called in his guards and said “Sorry it has to end this way, Jennifer, but you must die NOW!” Jennifer pulled out her special daggers that she got many years ago from Pickleitis.

In a matter of seconds around two hundred soldiers charged into the king’s throne room and surrounded Jennifer. She and the soldiers were ready for a battle now.

To be continued in story five Jennifer’s Close Call.

By: Benjamin Smulo and it was now 12:00 and Draco and Jennifer were discussing battle

plans.

They returned to the water kingdom to bring great news of victory. Jennifer told the king that they had completely destroyed the Lightning nation. Then Draco said, “Thank you for assisting me and killing off the Lightning nation for me.”

Homemade Fresh Pumpkin Pie   Ingredients

•2 cups mashed, cooked pumpkin •1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk •2 eggs, beaten •3/4 cup packed brown sugar •1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon •1/2 teaspoon ground ginger •1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg •1/2 teaspoon salt •  •2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour •1 teaspoon salt •1 cup shortening •1/2 cup cold water

Directions

1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). 2.Halve pumpkin and scoop out seeds and stringy portions. Cut pumpkin into chunks. In saucepan over medium heat, in 1 inch of boiling water heat the pumpkin to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until tender. Drain, cool and remove the peel. 3.Return pumpkin to the saucepan and mash with a potato masher. Drain well. 4.Prepare pie crusts by mixing together the flour and salt. Cut shortening into flour, add 1 tablespoon water to mixture at a time. Mix dough and repeat until dough is moist enough to hold together. 5.With lightly floured hands shape dough into a ball. On a lightly floured board roll dough out to 1/8 inch thickness. With a sharp knife, cut dough 1 1/2 inch larger than the upside down 8-9 inch pie pan. Gently roll the dough around the rolling pin and transfer it right side up on to the pie pan. Unroll, ease dough into the bottom of the pie pan. 6.In a large bowl with mixer speed on medium, beat pumpkin with evaporated milk, eggs, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Mix well. Pour into a prepared crust. Bake 40 minutes or until when a knife is inserted 1 inch from the edge comes out clean.
