Mi Verdadera Identidad en Cristo (2ª. parte).

¿De qué país es originario usted o sus padres? ¿de Argentina, Colom-bia, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salva-dor, Guatemala, México o de los Es-tados Unidos? Antes de yo identificar-me como Mexicano, por la gracia de Dios, soy un cristiano, hijo de Dios y ciudadano del Reino de los cielos. Debo de pensar y vivir de acuerdo a mi verdadera identidad que ahora tengo en Cristo. Nos deleitamos este pasado mes de Octubre, considerando los primeros aspectos de nuestra verdadera identi-dad, basados en Efesios 1 y 2. En forma personalizada vimos que: Soy escogido por Dios (1:4). Soy hijo de Dios (1:5). Soy redimido por Dios (1:7). Soy heredero de Dios (1:11). Soy Sellado con el Espíritu Santo (1:13,14). Soy nueva creatura (2:1-5). Soy resucitado y me hizo sentar en los lugares celestiales (2:6). En este mes de noviembre, vamos a estar cubriendo otros 5 aspectos en el capítulo 2 de Efesios que describen

My True Identity in Christ (2nd part).

What country are you or your parents from? From Argentina, Colombia, Honduras, Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala Mexico or from USA? Be-fore I identify myself as Mexican, by the grace of God, I am a Christian, a child of God and a citizen of the King-dom of heaven. I must think and live according to my true identity that I now have in Christ.

In this past month of October, we con-sidered the first aspects of our true identity, based on Ephesians 1 and 2. In a personalized way, we saw that: I am chosen by God (1:4). I am a child of God (1:5). I am redeemed by God (1:7). I am an heir of God (1:11). I am sealed with the Holy Spirit (1:13, 14). I am a new creation (2: 1-5). I am resur-rected and He sat me in heavenly places (2:6). During the month of November, we will be covering another 5 aspects in Chapter 2 of Ephesians that describes our wonderful identity. In these first two chapters of this beautiful letter we

En estos dos primeros capítulos de esta hermosa carta encontramos en total 12 aspectos esenciales de nues-tra identidad. Nuestro propósito es que a través de esta serie, usted asimile todo cuanto le sea posible a cerca de quién es usted en Cristo, para que lo ame más a él, que lo comparta con otros y le sirva mejor cada día. Mi identidad verdadera está basada en mi relación y en mi posición en Cristo. Tenga en mente que en toda esta car-ta hay un hilo de principio a fin, identifi-que el rastro del maravilloso hilo en la frase: «en Cristo», sígalo en cada ca-pítulo; ¡quedará encantado! Dios es quien mejor define y conoce quienes son sus hijos, no es mi nacio-nalidad, cultura, idioma, educación, ni mi trasfondo familiar, quien define soy yo. Tengo una identidad muy grande y rica ¿merezco todo esto? ¿me da Dios una posición tan especial a pesar de mis dudas o preguntas que a veces tengo? No, no importa, todo lo que soy es solo por su infinita gracia y miseri-cordia, no es algo que yo merezco o que he ganado. Por eso cuando yo le sirvo a Dios y él declara: -Tu eres mío-, entonces tengo aquí la plena seguri-dad que yo soy de él y que un día es-taré con él por toda la eternidad. Valoremos y disfrutemos de lo que realmente somos en Cristo y vivamos a diario para agradarle a él y ser de bendición a los demás.

Our purpose is that through this series, you assimilate as much as possible about who you are in Christ, so that you love Him more, share Him with others and serve Him better every day. My true identity is based on my relation-ship and my position in Christ. Keep in mind that throughout this letter there is a thread from beginning to end, identify the trace of the wonderful thread in the phrase: "in Christ," follow it in each chapter; You will be delighted! God is the one who best defines and knows who his children are, it is not my nationality, culture, language, educa-tion, or my family background, who de-fines me. I have a big and rich identity, do I deserve all this? Does God give me such a special position despite my doubts or questions that I sometimes have? No, it does not matter, all that I am is only because of His infinite grace and mercy, it is not something that I de-serve or have won. That is why when I serve God and He declares: "You are mine", then I have here the full assur-ance that I am His and that one day I will be with Him for all eternity. Let us value and enjoy what we really are in Christ and live daily to please Him and be a blessing to others. In Christ,

~ Taking a journey through Scripture ~

~ Tomando una jornada a través de la Escritura ~ Este año estaremos leyendo diferentes libros de la Biblia. El propósito es que lo hagamos en forma personal, con nuestro cónyuge y tam-bién con nuestros hijos.

En Noviembre estaremos leyendo el libro de Zacarías.

Leeremos un capitulo diario, descansando un día a la semana. Usted escoge el día y el capi-tulo que va a leer. El día que vamos a tener el examen será el Miércoles 27 de Nov. a las 7:45 pm. El examen se va a tomar individualmente y el ganador será el que obtenga la mayor calificación del examen, y recibirá un premio.

Para los que obtengan 60% o más, su nombre será sorteado; quien salga premiado, , se le llevará a comer.

Tomemos juntos esta jornada a través de la Biblia, para amar, crecer y servir mejor al Se-ñor como familia.

This year, we will be reading different Books of the Bible. The purpose is to read on our personal time, with our spouses and with our children.

In November we will be reading the Book of Zechariah.

We will read a chapter a day, resting one day a week. You pick the day and the chap-ter you want to read. The test date will be Wed. Nov. 27th at 7:45 pm. The test is to be taken individually, The person who obtains the highest test score, will win a prize.

For those who earn a 60% or higher, their name will be raffled, the winner’s reward will be a paid lunch.

Let’s take this journey together through the Scriptures, to love, to grow and better serve the Lord as a family.
