Letter from the President

Athena went on vacation in October. Can you guess where she’s

been?

Dear Members,

Having lived at seven

bases within the states

and abroad, the customs,

the language, and even

the weather have varied.

One constant has always

remained: being in the

company of those men

and women who always

gave more than they

asked for, who always

came when called. To

have served as President

for two terms of such a

group of individuals here

in Germany, has been

tremendous. I am

honored and humbled by

the faith you entrusted in

me. Yet I, too, have had

faith in all of you. Faith

that we would endeavor

to reach out to those

spouses who are not here.

Faith that at the end of

our time here, each one

of us would feel a tie to

this community because

we have worked to make

it a better place for all

who have called it home.

There is so much we have

accomplished together.

I have had the

opportunity to work with

21 different Board

Members during the past

two years. I greatly

appreciate the effort and

dedication that every

member has put forth.

Additionally, to the 2013

Board – Thank you for all

your hard work and

devotion to RESA this past

year. Together we have

accomplished so much

and have touched so

many lives. To the 2014

Board – We are giving

you an organization with

a substantial foundation,

yet it has so much

potential to become even

greater! I wish you all a

prosperous year!

My time here has been

filled with great memories

- everything from

volunteering at our Thrift

Shop, squeezing lemons,

to attending meetings,

dinners, parties and

shopping trips. For me,

RESA has been a

rewarding experience. I’ve

made so many friends

and learned so much.

I believe that Harriet

Naylor best captured the

heart of every volunteer

when she wro te

“Volunteering can be an

e x c i t i ng , g row i ng ,

enjoyable experience. It is

truly gratifying to serve a

cause, practice one’s

ideals, work with people,

solve problems, see

benefits, and know one

had a hand in them”.

Thank you, everyone! I

have thoroughly enjoyed

representing the Ramstein

E n l i s t e d S po u s e s ’

Association as your

President!

Sincerely,

Eva
