Register First: 1. Click on the link www.biddingforgood.com/BESGALA (please bookmark for easy access)
2. Click on REGISTER TO BID
3. One bid number is assigned to each credit card.
Note: If you are purchasing tickets for other people, i.e.: Table for 10, they need to register to have
your own bid number. Families sharing a credit card can share one bid number. Just enter in both first
names in the first name box.
Then Purchase Your Tickets: 1. Click on ORDER TICKETS (located under the map to the right on the home page).
2. Choose the ticket type and quantity that you want.
3. Fill in everyone’s names, email addresses and meal choices in your party.

Mr. Rudy Muñoz is Retiring in December! Brookside’s beloved custodian, Mr. Rudy Muñoz, is retiring the first week in
December. Mr. Muñoz has worked in OPUSD for 20 years, 13 years of which
have been at Brookside! You may have heard your children speak about “Mr.
Rudy” as he is always working hard taking care of our campus and our
numerous needs; he is a valued and loved member of our Brookside community and will be
greatly missed. If you would like to contribute towards a surprise gift to be presented to Mr.
Muñoz on behalf of our Brookside parents at a special presentation at the end of the month,
please contact Tina Wang at [email protected]. Please place contributions in an

11/30-Wear Dodger Gear or Dodger Blue for Mr. Rudy! Shhh…..in honor of Mr. Rudy’s favorite pastime, baseball, and his
favorite team, please have your student wear their Dodger gear or Dodger Blue on 11/30, the special day we are having our
students honor Mr. Rudy and will be presenting him the gift from
our families.
Calling All 5th Grade Parents! Parents of 5th Graders, please be sure to DOWNLOAD the 2015-16 5th Grade Event Information Sheet (also located on ParentSquare in the
Files section) and make note of important dates and deadlines.
IMPORTANT: 5th Grade PTA Yearbook Dedications and Photos Are DUE THIS FRIDAY-11/20 An information packet was sent home this week detailing BES PTA 5th Grade Yearbook dedication ads, baby photo submissions, and child’s favorites/future wishes. The forms are also posted within
ParentSquare in the Files section and on the Brookside website HERE. THERE ARE TWO FORMS DUE ON 11/20:
1. Your child’s favorites, future wish and baby photo form completed located HERE.
2. Optional BES PTA Yearbook Dedication Ad Reservation FORM.
• Dedication Ad Reservation Deadline: 11/20 Dedication Materials Due 12/18. Two sizes, $30
and $60. These optional ads also serve as a means to fund PTA programs and 5th grade
activities.
• DEADLINES ARE FIRM! Please turn in your forms as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we
cannot make exceptions in adding additional pages beyond the deadline due to the yearbook
publishing parameters and deadlines. Thank you for understanding. If you have any questions,

11/20-Permission Forms Due for 5th Grade Internet Safety Assembly with Lori Getz on 12/4
5th grade parents and students are invited to attend a special parent-student cyber education
safety assembly on December 4th from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. At this assembly, Lori Getz
will be speaking to you and your children about what they are really doing on-line. Ms. Getz is
a cyber education consultant and Brookside parent. She will be focusing on issues related to
privacy, gaming, texting, posting pictures, digital drama, screen time and personal safety.
Permission forms must be filled out and turned in by 11/20. Forms will be sent home this
week and may be downloaded HERE. You may also view Mrs. Getz’s bio on the form.
11/20- Santa Comes to Westlake/Agoura & Beyond Student Council & the Brookside PTA invite you to donate nonperishable
breakfast food items for local families in need. Look out for the donation
boxes! Please bring the following items: Cereal, oatmeal, and protein bars! *Please no glass containers, expired food, or opened containers. THIS FRIDAY is the last day you can drop off items!
11/17-November Spirit Stick Sale: Preview Sticks Online HERE! Our next Spirit Stick sale will be THIS Tuesday 11/17 after school at 1:15 p.m., 2:30 p.m., and 2:56 p.m. dismissal times! As always, we’ll
have new Spirit Sticks, including Thanksgiving-themed ones! Buy some
as holiday gifts to surprise your student or some parents have been
purchasing them as incentives for their students. No matter how you decide to use our Spirit
Sticks, they are a huge hit with our students!

Thank You to Our Veterans for Your Service! Our 5th Grade students honored our veterans in attendance (including our very own Mr.
Rudy!) at our Veteran’s Day Assembly on 11/9; under the direction of Mrs. Amanda Benjamin,
our music teacher, our students and Student Council members provided a memorable
