  • General News

Media Trust has launched Breaking Into News in partnership with ITV News for the fourth time to give

young people aged 18-25 an opportunity to be mentored by top journalists and produce their own news

report. This is an opportunity for young people to have their say about something that matters to them or

their local community and potentially have their news report shown on television. No experience is nec-

essary, just passion and enthusiasm. For more information and to enter please see our website.

Closing date is midday on Sunday 30th November 2014.

Change of Governance for Momentum (Norfolk)

It was announced at our AGM on 2nd October that the Board of Trustees wishes to change the

governance of Momentum (Norfolk) by applying to become a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, in

order to limit the liability of the Trustees. As an unincorporated charity the trustees currently have

personal financial liability. Momentum (Norfolk) will continue to provide the same services to its

    membership as a CIO.

The Board therefore intends to register as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation. Once this has been

registered with the Charity Commission a Special Meeting will need to be called for our members to gain

agreement to dissolve the existing unincorporated charity and transfer the assets to the CIO. At this

stage the trustees will assume that you are willing to be members of the new CIO and our in support of

the change of Governance, unless you tell us otherwise. If you have any objections to the proposal to

seek Charitable Incorporated Status, or you are not willing to be members of the newly constituted

organisation could you please email Cindee Crehan at [email protected]

    by 5pm Friday 7th November.

  • General News Kids Activity Ideas for Bonfire Night (Guy Fawkes Night)

Guy Fawkes Night in Great Britain (or Bonfire Night as it is more popularly known) is celebrated on or around November 5th every year. The highlights are undoubtedly the huge firework displays which are put on in the evenings and the huge bonfires which are lit in back gardens and parks.

Of course neither of these activities are particularly child friendly! Luckily weve come up with some fun activities for kids to do for Guy Fawkes Night which dont require a fire extinguisher and the emergency services on speed dial! For more activities please visit: http://www.activitybucket.com/archives/4059
