t h e s t o r y b e h i n d t h e g a m e

yuri is a cosmonaut/explorer who ventures through the worlds of memory and imagination. he was created by ange potier and went on his first adventures in a comic.

a few years later, ange and his brother aurélien, a multimedia author and musician,

decided to combine their talents to create the video game of their dreams. yuri is inspired by the old family home in brittany, france,

where the two brothers spent their vacations. this house was surrounded by lush, untamed nature that they’ve recreated in a playful, organic style.

aurélien lives near paris. ange is in buenos aires.

yuri’s development took six years of back and forth between the two continents. six long years of sharing, dreaming and remembering, of sounds, images and hard work.

and now, 16 long levels… the game is complete, at last!

yuri has now got a life of its own outside the game! more and more live concerts are taking place around france and europe. in yuri’s concerts, gamers listen to the yuri’s soundtrack

played live while playing on a big screen. an incredible experience.

a n g e p o t i e r is a designer and animator. he shares his life between france and argentina. he is the author of the book “camille peint” with texts by eve loreaux (2005)

and the animated film “el bosque” inspired by the universe of Jérome bosch (2011). With his drawings and animations he has participated in 5 shows directed

by argentinean choreographer paula manaker and two circus shows by samuel tétrault (compagnie les 7 doigts de la main). he created yuri in 2005.

a u r e l i e n p o t i e r is a multimedia director. in 2010 he co-founded the creative app studio fingerlab, awarded in 2012 at the apple design award with the app dm1 : the drum machine.

also a musician, he has performed in numerous ensembles, between jazz, rock and contemporary music (centenaire, section amour, organ, raptus, …)

and co-composed the music of the game yuri.
