Cheaper by the Dozen: The Ticket1000 as an Annual Subscription

Whether you are an early riser or want to start out later in the morning: The Ticket1000 and it's nine o'clock version is also available as an inexpensive annual subscription. With it you not only save time and money, but also enjoy the many additional exclusive advantage for regular customers. So you see: With a subscription ticket you cannot lose!

Why you can only benefit from a subscription ticket:

� lower price compared to the monthly ticket

� no forgetting the monthly token exchange - and you don't need to make your way to the customer service centre thanks to the eTicket (chip card)

� every month it is possible to change the price level at short notice free of charge

� uncomplicated and quick replacement of lost cards for a small processing charge upon presentation of your identity card

� attractive offers and discounts for leisure and cultural offerings twice a year as part of AboLust, the book of vouchers exclusively for subscribers

� the subscription can be cancelled during the year up to 6 weeks before the end of the month – the only charge is the difference to the standard monthly ticket in the first year of subscription

In the case of delay: The Mobility Guarantee

Disruption to operations, vehicle and equipment malfunc-tions, traffic congestion, illegal parking and similar incidents can lead to delays to buses, trains and trams. Nevertheless, we guarantee your mobility.

Our mobility guarantee enables you to take a taxi or train for which a surcharge has to be paid (IC/EC or ICE) to your destination. We will refund the additional costs of up to €25 between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. or €50 between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. if

� the means of transport chosen by you leaves your stop more than 20 minutes later than originally shown on the timetable and

� there is no obvious alternative bus or rail route to your destination.

The mobility guarantee does not apply to delays resulting from strikes, bad weather, forces of nature or bomb threats.

You only need to submit an application for reimbursement of the costs. The corresponding form is available from your transport company or on the Internet.

Journey planner and ticketshop in one App

Do you use an iPhone or an Android smartphone? Then you can now download the free VRR app onto your phone for timetable information and ticket purchasing. You will have access to both up-to-date information and notices on any service disruptions. The free VRR app is functional immedi-ately after being downloaded. The VRR app recognises your current location through the GPS tracking in your smart-phone and shows the stops and the lines operating in the area. The app memorises information which has previously been input and offers sensible orientation guidance using the map provided. You can also buy your ticket directly from the VRR app right away. As a pre-registered HandyTicket customer, you can receive timetable information directly in your transport company’s HandyTicket shop. If you are not yet registered there, you can simply install the free app and register for the HandyTicket shop.

Finding the right ticket with just a few clicks: The ticket adviser

Do you have any questions about the different types of tickets and are looking for the right tariff? Then take advan-tage of the ticket adviser on the Internet. Simply enter your starting point and destination and the suitable ticket will be recommended. Further information is also available of course from the KundenCenter (customer service centre) of your transport company or via the customer service hotline 0 180 6/50 40 30*.

Bicycle transport

In general, the transport company will gladly transport your bicycle as well. However, in the interests of all passengers, this may depend on the time of day, the volume of passengers and the space available. Please familiarise yourself in advance with the applicable carry-on regulations of your transport company.

Journeys beyond the Network

You can stamp any EinzelTicket, 4erTicket or TagesTicket (single, block of four or day tickets) purchased in advance for any required price level of the neighbouring transport association when you start your journey in your own regio -nal network.

Always a Winner: Ticket1000

Have we aroused your curiosity? Do you also want to be mobile round-the-clock and enjoy the numerous extras available to subscribers? Then Ticket1000 is "just the ticket" for you. Should you no longer require your ticket, it is only necessary to send an informal written cancella-tion up to 6 weeks before the end of the month. General rule: If you cancel your ticket in the current year you do not pay any more than the standard price of a monthly ticket.

A pleasant journey by bus and train!

For a journey to Cologne a Ticket1000 customer can travel in price category A3 for tariff zone 36 (Bochum) with the ZusatzTicket as far as Langenfeld and from there use a EinzelTicket (single ticket) of the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS) of price category 3. This VRS ticket can already be stamped in Bochum.
