Normal Development
The child may cry when the
parent leaves because they
fear that the parent will be
gone forever. Then begins to cry when the
parent returns, because this
reminds the child of how he or
she felt when the parent left.
With understanding, patience,
and coping strategies, it can be
relieved.

Coping StrategiesAt the Separation Time
Give a kiss and hug. Tell him
how much you love him,
youre waiting outside and
will be to pick him up soon.
Even if this makes the child
