SCOPE:
Research in the field of computer networking demands the design of new protocols at different layers of the Network Architecture. This involves creation of network topologies, inclusion of newly defined protocols and study of their performance under various scenarios for different networking technologies. This is possible by using Network Simulators. The most commonly used one such simulator is NS-2. This open source tool supports simulation and study of network scenarios for different network technologies like MANETs, VANETs and WSNs. The objective of this workshop is to demonstrate NS-2 and the different modules across the layers.
RESOURCE PERSON:
Faculty member with rich experience in NS-2
